Yat'Yir was the trusted aide of the Jaffa leader Gerak.

Biography

2005

Yat'Yir accompanied Gerak to his first meeting with Major General Henry Landry on Earth. It was hoped that this informal session would open doors for an eventual treaty between Earth and the new Free Jaffa Nation. Yat'Yir did not trust Teal'c, and openly challenged him during table discussions. (SG1: "Origin")

He was later sent to Earth in search of Ba'al by Gerak. He first captured Alex Jameson and tortured him for information. He later captured Ba'al and Gerak executed him but it was only a clone. (SG1: "Ex Deus Machina")

He continued to be Gerak's personal assistant. Even though he is primarily skeptic against the Ori religion, he soon followed Gerak's belief. (SG1: "The Fourth Horseman, Part 1")

2006

After Gerak's death, he remained on the Jaffa High Council and opposed the motion to dissolve the Council and still wanted to force the Jaffa to follow Origin. (SG1: "Stronghold")
