The technology used by the Wraith, while advanced compared to the Goa'uld, and the human civilizations of both the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies, is much less advanced compared to the technologies of the Ancients, Asgard, Tau'ri, and that of the Ori.
Overview
Wraith technology is unique in that most of it has an organic base to it. The Wraith are almost unique in the known universe for being a space-faring race that lacks shield technology. This is likely because Lantean weapons technology can tear through all but the most advanced shields with minimal effort, and so they would have been a waste of time and energy.
