Wraith Queen (Spoils of War) was a high ranking Hive queen that led her hive during the Wraith civil war.
Biography[]
2008[]
This queen's faction attacked the Hive ship that belonged to Todd after learning from a spy in his ranks that he planned to use a captured Zero Point Module, stolen from Asuras after the Battle of Asuras, to power the Wraith cloning facility. During the attack, Todd's crew were fed upon and Todd himself was captured in order to use his knowledge to get the machinery in the ancient cloning facility working.
After this was accomplished, she journeyed to the planet where the outpost was located. Leaving her Hive ship in orbit to guard the world, the Wraith queen descended into the facility itself where she resided in a special throne room. Using the machinery, she became engulfed in tendrils which took genetic material from her to create a batch of Wraith warriors who would serve as a template for the cloned soldiers. As this was done, she asked that the commander of the rival hive, Todd, be brought to her as he had outlived his usefulness. When her commander cautioned against this action, she threatened to feed on her lieutenant as she came to grips with her hunger.
However, the base was infiltrated by members of Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's team who freed Todd but they themselves were captured. The prisoners were brought before her and she attempted to interrogate them by breaking their spirit. She was about to feed on Dr. Rodney McKay when suddenly her mind was invaded by the telepathic talents of Teyla Emmagan who began to control her thus sending the team back to a prison cell. The queen was angered at this upstart mind that dared to enter her mind and bidded her time when Teyla's mind grew weak allowing the queen to take control once more.
Teyla used the queen to free her teammates from the prison cell. However, the queen quickly learned that Teyla was not alone in her telepathic manipulation and was using the powers of her unborn child in tandem with hers making her much stronger. Thus, the queen attempted to distract Teyla in order to snuff out the child's mind with a single thought. Closing in on her new prey, the queen was killed when Sheppard fired on her after Teyla pleaded to him through the queen's body to kill the Wraith. (SGA: "Spoils of War")
