Wraith Commander (Midway) was a male Wraith who participated in a battle to take over the Midway space station.
Biography[]
2008[]
This Wraith learned of the Humans of Earth's gate bridge by stealing the information from Todd. Using this knowledge, he took a Wraith cruiser and numerous warriors in order to assault the Midway space station. Moving to a planet at the edge of the Pegasus galaxy, they hacked the Stargate in order to decipher the programme used to dial the Midway station. Once this occurred, the Wraith Commander sent his warriors through to secure the position.
After the station had fallen to them, the Commander made use of the station to dial the Milky Way in order to reach Earth itself. Using a Wraith bomb, the Commander's forces were successful in taking out everyone at Stargate Command in order to secure a beach head. However, his invasion plan's were halted when a lock-out was initiated. The Commander used one of his subordinates to break the lock-out in order to resume his attack on Earth.
When the Atlantis expedition attempted to retake the station, the Wraith Commander became aware of Lt. Colonel John Sheppard leading the rescue team. However, despite the Human forces gaining the upper-hand, the Wraith Commander managed to break the lock-out and restore contact to his forces in the Pegasus galaxy. With this link established, he succeeded in gaining total control over the space station. His plan's began to fall apart, however, when the human's forced a decompression of the station which suffocated his troops. In desperation, the Commander attacked John Sheppard but was killed by bullet's from his pistol. Despite the failure, the Commander did succeed in unintentionally destroying the station. A short time later, after being contacted by Todd, Sheppard's team confronted him for giving this Wraith Commander the information he stole on the Midway Station, enabling the Commander's attack. While Todd admits to stealing the information, he appears genuinely surprised by the accusation of his involvement and insists that the Commander stole the information from him in turn and he had nothing to do with the attack.
