- "Since when are we calling it Walter's World?"
"Since I came through the gate first. It's kind of how it's done."
"Says who? By that rule, almost every planet in the Milky Way would be called O'Neill or Carter!" - ―Chuck and Walter Harriman[src]
Walter's World was a planet in an unknown galaxy, with an older, unfamiliar Stargate.
Overview[]
Walter's World had a moon that had a decaying orbit. This caused tremors to be common on the planet, until the moon got too close to the planet and destroyed it.
The planet's terrain consisted of massive jungles and forests whose population consisted of various different creatures that were aggressive predators.
History[]
2009[]
In 2009, Walter Harriman and Chuck went through Atlantis' stargate to Earth. However, during the transition their patterns dropped off and the two instead found themselves on an unknown planet. (SGA: "Hearts & Minds 1")
The Stargate they came through was an older and unfamiliar model. They searched the planet for a month and couldn't find a Dial Home Device. (Stargate Atlantis / Stargate Universe Anthology Ongoing 3)
During the month, Walter kept track of the planet's quakes, discovering that they were getting stronger, more frequent and closer together. That, combined with the planet's moon appearing closer, Walter figured out the moon was going to collide with the planet. (SGA: "Hearts & Minds 1")
The moon's collision course began to quicken and soon the planet began to break apart. Eventually the two collided and the planet was destroyed, but just before it's destruction an Ancient remote control was found, which let Chuck and Walter gate off the planet just in time.(SGA: "Hearts & Minds 2", "Hearts & Minds 3", "Singularity 1")
