The vorlix was a term the Vyans used to describe the starting point of a period of mass amnesia that befell the entire population of Vyus. This period was set about when the Destroyer of Worlds, Linea, used a substance called Dargol in an attempt to eventually make herself younger. The attempt somehow caused the entire planet to fall under this substance and made themselves younger, which did work, at the cost of everyone's memories. SG-1 had discovered a way to bring back the memories of the Vyans, causing their memories to return. (SG1: "Past and Present")
