The Ursini hibernation pod is device created by the Ursini to hold their kind in stasis for long periods. The pods are outfitted with neural stimulators designed to keep their occupants' brains active during extended hibernations. The technology is compatible with other species.

The pods where first encountered by the Destiny expedition on board an Ancient seed ship, where they were being used by an Ursini research team. The pods opened shortly after the ship was powered up. When Everett Young and Nicholas Rush investigate an Ursini spaceship, they found several open pods. (SGU: "Awakening", "The Greater Good")
