Tyrone had flown a Lancer in Iraq. He did a tour in Kandahar. When he was a Lieutenant, he arrived at the base just when Mitch and Dex went down. He met John Sheppard in Afghanistan though didn't serve with him long there as Franklin had only been there three weeks before Sheppard was sent home for what happened with Captain Charlie Holland.
