After the return of Colonel Jack O'Neill to Abydos and the kidnapping of Skaara and Sha're by Apophis, Dr. Daniel Jackson instructed Tobay to bury the Stargate and also for Tobay to tell Kasuf to reopen it exactly one year later. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")

Six years later, he helped Teal'c defend Abydos from the invading Jaffa who were attempting to secure the Eye of Ra for Anubis. He was later killed after Anubis destroyed Abydos and is assumed to have ascended with the help of Oma Desala. (SG1: "Full Circle")
