Tiryns, designated P3X-752 by the Tau'ri, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which has a Stargate. Tiryns is small planet with a mildly poisonous atmosphere and a local climate and topography that makes growing food difficult. Pelops placed humans from Earth who he infected with his accelerated-aging nanites to experiment with human evolution. He placed them in adverse conditions, as opposed to the experiment on the Argosians in the idyllic conditions of Argos. Tiryns has a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere similar to Earth, but with higher concentrations of argon and xenon.

Pelops located a region where a handful of small and mostly dormant volcanos spewed gases into the local atmosphere. He moved the Stargate to this location, and established the Tirynsian village and his temple nearby. The village looks similar to the Grecian style used by the Argosians, but with little to no decorative features. The temple in the village is located in the center of the village and is an almost exact replica of the Temple of Argos.

In addition to housing a statue of Pelops under which the nanites are controlled, the walls describe how the Tirynsians are "Cursed" for something their ancestors did. Pelops sends his Jaffa to the village every few years to check on the status of the equipment polluting the atmosphere, and remind the Tirynsians that they are being punished. The basement of the temple also contains tanks of chemicals which are pumped out into the atmosphere, and sensors in the temple also examine the atmosphere and increase the toxicity every dozen years. While the Tirynsians continuously adapt to this poisonous change in atmosphere, off-world travelers would be rendered nauseous and made to cough after a brief amount of time.

As a result of these harsh conditions, life on Tiryns is hardly idyllic, as sunshine rarely penetrates the thick layers of clouds and gases in the atmosphere, and the land is dry and poorly suited for agriculture. The few crops that actually manage to grow on such a hostile environment are tasteless, and offer only marginal levels of nutrition. (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")
