Background information[]
He was married to an unnamed woman and was a truly loyal servant of the Ori. He eventually became the Administrator of the village of Ver Eger. (SG1: "Avalon, Part 2")
2005[]
He was granted a visit to the City of Celestis to look into the Flames of Enlightenment. At that time, he also was transformed into a Prior. The Doci then told him that an army would be raised to fight unbelievers, and that he was to go forth and spread Origin to all. His work as administrator was thereby over. (SG1: "Avalon, Part 2", "Origin")
He was later seen on P8X-412 where he, on behalf of the Ori, unleashed a plague. Despite the efforts of SG-1 namely Dr. Daniel Jackson to convince the people that the Ori were not gods, the village bowed down to the Ori and he cured them of the plague. (SG1: "The Powers That Be")
He later converted Gerak to Origin, and told him to wipe out the Jaffa who resisted it. When Gerak spared their lives, the Prior reprimanded him, but told him that the Ori did not require blind faith. He transported Gerak's consciousness to the City of Celestis, where the Doci allowed Gerak to view the Flames of Enlightenment, turning him into a Prior. (SG1: "The Fourth Horseman, Part 1")
2007[]
After SG-1 shifted a building out of phase on the planet P9C-882 by Merlin's Arthur's Mantle, the Prior attempted to reveal it, but failed. Humiliated, he decided to destroy the village, even though some of the villagers had agreed to follow Origin. Commander Tomin also objected, but the Prior twisted the meaning of the story of Markon. Tomin objected again as the Prior aimed the main weapon on the Ori warship, but the Prior blindly fired anyway. However, Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter and Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell were able to extend the field to encompass the village. (SG1: "Line in the Sand")
On Dakara, the Prior and his soldiers, led by Tomin, captured SG-1, just as they uncovered what seemed to be the Ark of Truth, a device made by the Ancients to end the crusade. Since they could not open it, the Prior ordered it to be blasted open, despite Dr. Daniel Jackson's warning. The chest was a fake, actually containing scrolls that turned to dust. The Prior then ordered Tomin to execute SG-1, as he strangely found that his powers weren't working and thus he could not do it himself. Tomin insisted that they surrendered and tried quoting excerpts from the Book of Origin. However, the Prior grew impatient and grabbed an Ori staff weapon to execute them personally, only for Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell to grab another staff and shoot him instead. Witnessing the killing of a prior that was powerless against his enemies shook Tomin's faith in Origin to the breaking point until it finally collapsed, prompting Tomin to return to Earth with SG-1 where he later joined them on their quest for the real Ark of Truth. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth")
