He and Jup were the two buyers interested in purchasing the stolen Prometheus from Vala Mal Doran. They were both shot with a Zat'nik'tel at the rendezvous point by Dr. Daniel Jackson. (SG1: "Prometheus Unbound")
He and Jup later tried to get revenge on Vala Mal Doran and give her to the Lucian Alliance which had a bounty out on her, but due to the collected efforts of Vala, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Teal'c and Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell (who introduced himself as a bounty hunter something Tenat never apparently figured out was a lie), the traders did not succeed. Tenat apparently believed Mitchell's lie and apparently thought Mitchell was just a bounty hunter who had pulled a fast one on him. (SG1: "The Ties That Bind")
Later, Tenat located the Odyssey, taking the information to Netan. By this time, Tenat had somehow managed to get himself in command of a Lucian Alliance Ha'tak class vessel. While there, he recognized Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell, who used the Reol chemical make Netan think he was Kefflin. Tenat, not knowing the truth about Mitchell's identity and still thinking him to be a bounty hunter, wanted in on Mitchell's plans. Instead Mitchell used the Reol chemical on Tenat, making him think he was Netan. When the Ha'tak they were on reached the Odyssey, Mitchell told Tenat to fire on Netan's Ha'tak. Tenat complied and was shocked when the real Netan berated him for his actions. His crew didn't know what Netan looked like so they had thought Mitchell was him. Mitchell and Teal'c were beamed out, moments before Tenat's ship was destroyed by Netan in a firefight between the two ships that Tenat lost badly. His last words were "Damn you, Cam Mitchell," apparently still believing that Mitchell was a bounty hunter. (SG1: "Company of Thieves")
