The Temple of Pelops is a large temple on Argos that hosts its Stargate.
Overview[]
Situated close to the Argos village on a beach, the temple houses the Stargate and Dial Home Device within itself. A large statue of Pelops once resided within the center of the temple. (SG1: "Brief Candle")
History[]
When SG-1 arrived on the planet in the temple, they discovered that two Argosians, Thetys and Alekos, are about to give birth to Dan-el. Dr. Daniel Jackson and Captain Samantha Carter helped with the delivery. After Colonel Jack O'Neill was infected by the nanites, he set up camp inside the temple and destroyed the statue of Pelops causing the wake up device to be damaged. (SG1: "Brief Candle")
