Do not delete this template yetEdit

This template is messed up for the time being. The "best looking" version is that of a much older version. I don't know which one is best working, though. I'll invite Marco Polo here. Peter R 20:21, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

The older version does not allow for disambiguation. I believe the template was changed in an attempt to "correct" this, although it evidently didn't work. Marco Polo hasn't made any edits on this wiki in almost twenty days, so I'm inclined to believe he has abandoned it. 67.171.163.212 14:57, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Hello Stargate Wikia! I am so sorry for my wikibreak, and had no idea it would cause so much turmoil. The reason the templates have broken is because of the move from template style {{switch:...}} to {{#switch:...}}. I am very sorry for this, as I use the expressions constantly, and now God knows how many templates are broken. I will fix them ASAP.

RequestEdit

Can I request an addition to this template if possible? If allowed, I'm going to be adding a lot of information from the Stargate Roleplaying Game and so having a cite|RPG|<module/book name> would be handy for me. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 15:25, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

That would be great, but wait til after the discussion in SGCommand:Community_Portal#Plot_Hooks_Canon.3F is resolved. Peter R 16:15, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Episode links Edit

Just a suggestion: perhaps a tweak to the episode links: instead of just [[{{{2}}}]], instead have:

[[{{#ifexist:{{{2}}} (episode)|{{{2}}} (episode){{!}} }}{{{2}}}]]

That way, something like {{Cite|SG-1|1969}} would automatically link to 1969, without having to mess with piping with {{!}} everywhere... but episodes that don't have (episode) in the page names, and uses that are already piped, would still work fine. I'm new here, so I don't want to go changing commonly-used templates all over the place, I'd probably end up breaking something... so I'll just bring it up here on the talk page... but I think it'd be a good idea. Done. Looks like nothing bad happen --╔▲╠☼╚╡∩║▀⌠⅜⌡├┤∩ 14:04, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Testing new code: (SGA: "Runner") (SG1: "1969") (SGA: "Runner", "Sateda") (SG1: "Hathor", SGA: "Sateda", "Runner") Seems to work fine, good job. I fixed the space between the opening quotation and the text (it used to look like this: " Runner"). Cheers. —Ka'lel 16:58, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
