Anyway, now even though they have advanced technology, their memory of their homeworld (which may only be fairly vague given how long ago it was many of them seem to have been there) may not include anything sufficient to let them find it again. Sokar would have to have stumbled back upon it later on. That's my theory anyway. [[Special:Contributions/122.105.223.16|122.105.223.16]] 11:21, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

The way the article is currently worded suggests that an Unas' necklace will prevent them from being taken as a host. However we know that Goa'uld can come in through the mouth and I'm sure there would be other ways. So isn't it more likely that it makes it harder for them to be taken as a host, but won't entirely prevent it? If so then rewording is in order. "It appears that only the Goa'uld System Lord Sokar and the Asgard know the location of their homeworld." i don't know if this is possible because if all goa'uld can trace their ancestry back to that planet and they all have genetic memory, then wouldn't they know the location. this could be just a writer's flaw but i'm curious if any one knows. 71.162.84.250 19:26, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

All I can suggest is that it's possible (and even likely, given they've been called scavengers of technologies) the Goa'uld only developed advanced technology after leaving their homeworld in Unas hosts (taking with them a few spare Unas for breeding). At the time they may not have had any way of identifying their homeworld's location in the galaxy and they also would not have known the Stargate address. So they'd have had no way of going back.

This same thing has happened to people from Earth before. Even though we all live on the planet, and even though I've watched a lot of Stargate, if you were to put me through a wormhole to the other side of the galaxy then ask me to find my way back I'd be pretty useless at it.

Anyway, now even though they have advanced technology, their memory of their homeworld (which may only be fairly vague given how long ago it was many of them seem to have been there) may not include anything sufficient to let them find it again. Sokar would have to have stumbled back upon it later on. That's my theory anyway. 122.105.223.16 11:21, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
