Power issue goofEdit
I belive Carter stated that Merlins phasing device needed 80% of Usa's power to cloak the entire planet. This also seemed to be significantly less than what the chair needed. If I'm not misstaken, the chair only needed one mark-whatever generator to function, which clearly wasn't enough to dial the gate from the milky way to pegasus. The city sheild required even more power. Anyway, my point is, even a large lightning storm wouldn't be able to get the chair going, even less power the sheild. An average lightning only discharges 500 megajoules of energy, the Us genrates about 2693,8 mw at any given time.
People overestimate lightnings....
But that was a mega storm with dozens of megalightings a second and your entire opinion is bazed by your speculation that merlin's device uses less power that the control chair!Portalier (talk) (Contribs) 19:58, November 18, 2012 (UTC)
Well of course it did. If it hadn't, why wouldn't they use the power grid to power the chair? And superstorm or not, considering the power consumption of the sheild... You wouldn't even get close. Thomsons Gazelle (talk) (Contribs) 20:13, December 2, 2012 (UTC)
