Stargate: Origins or Stargate OriginsEdit

At this point, I see both "Stargate: Origins" and "Stargate Origins" being used. The youtube trailer uses the former, while gateworld, the MGM Announcement email, and several other sources use the latter. As such, I suggest we use "Stargate Origins" (no colon) pending future developments. -Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 03:38, July 22, 2017 (UTC)

We could add on Stargate Origins page a mention of other variants of title ("Stargate: Origins", SGO, SG:O) as alias f.e.

Interesting idea. I added the line '(also stylized as Stargate: Origins)' to help address that. -Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 03:59, July 22, 2017 (UTC)

I mean, seriously guys, this thing is only 10 episodes long? Also, remember how nobody liked the Star Wars prequels? There's not even hype for this one. They should have taken that money and put it towards another season of SGU. A LOT of people liked that one, did they even give a reason for cancelling it? (And don't you correct me about the producer vs the station, I KNOW.) It's not even directed by the same person, who the hack is Mercedes Morgan? Here's her website. I read it, she doesn't have a single Sci-Fi under her belt. At least J.J. Abrams established himself on the Sci-Fi scene before the gave him some of the best franchises of all time (Star Wars AND Star Trek). I'm not saying we should pay him for the next Stargate series, but it would come out much better than the product of a director who doesn't even Sci-Fi.

Which canonEdit

Doesn't this series take place in the movie canon instead of the SG-1 canon, since the gate looks like the one from the movie, there's a strudel on the back when its activated, the wormhole is identical to the one from the movie, it has a scene from the movie as a flashback, uses the movies sound effects, etc 19:40, April 7, 2018 (UTC)

It would seem to be a mix of the movie and series canon stylistically (ie: Origins uses a DHD, the glyphs on the gate are the ones used in SG-1). I'd be willing to explain the strudel and the different wormhole effects as being the result of the gate not being powered correctly, or Doppler shift, or something... But then they also used the top chevron from the movie gate. So, I'm really not sure how to explain what's going on with the canon, heh. -Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 09:06, April 8, 2018 (UTC)
