:::::Oh, here is another stupid idea. What if they added Agard beam weapons all over Atlantis and they found a way to fire them w/ the atlantis shields up. And if they also added asgard beam weapons on the puddle jumpers.—[[User:Tau'ri 21300|Tau'ri 21300]] 23:52, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

::::::Well, on a slightly sidetracked note, if I was the Tau'ri I'd be installing Asgard beams onto Atlantis while it's still parked on Earth. The only other defence it has is drones, which we can't manufacture, and railguns, which are a bit pathetic. Call me silly, but I'd like a weapon which won't run out after one or two fights. Personally, given the name "Extinction" I'm expecting something to do with the Pegasus Asgard. —[[User:AscendedAlteran|AscendedAlteran]] 18:08, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

I personally think that the Atlantis Expedition will most likely be fighting the Unknown Aliens that was seen in "The Daedalus Variations". I got this assumption from when the article says that it will be more like Continuum than Ark of Truth. This means that fighting the Wraith is very possible, but then it would be more like Ark of Truth and the Unknown Aliens are the only advanced enemy of the Atlantis Expedition other than the Wraith.-Railgun88 19:07, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Plot Discussion

So with only four episodes left in the final season of Stargate Atlantis, and very little (if any) spoilers released about the movie yet, I thought it'd be a nice time to start discussing the movie. What do you think the plot of the movie will be? Who would you like to see in the movie? What don't you want the movie to be about?

Personally, I'd like to see Aiden Ford return, and be a sort of gray-area-character much like Todd. In the slim chance that the Michael Kenmore that died at Atlantis was a clone, he'd make a great villain. He and Aiden can relate to each other in many ways, and it would add to the teeter-tottering Aiden does when it comes to his allegiances. There's also a lot of tension between Aiden and Ronon which would be great to see come to a head in an epic fight. —Ka'lel 22:58, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I would like a see a massive Tau'ri vs. Wraith space battle, possibly featuring the Phoenix. And the Travelers would be nice too. We haven't seen much of them.—Anubis 10545 23:34, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Gotta agree with you on the travelers, Katana and Larrin are great characters; even Mila was a neat little supporting character and I like the haphazzard look of their ships. If there is a massive space battle, it's safe to say the Daedalus would be involved, and I'd like to see Steven Caldwell die in some over-the-top heroics. Not because I don't like him, but because he's just about the best established good-guy that still isn't part of the main cast, so his death is plausible without too much impact. Like the death of a certain Tok'ra in SG-1 season 8. —Ka'lel 06:21, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Yea, seeing Caldwell go out fighting would be pretty bad-ass. He was practically a main character in season 2, but they haven't shown him in Atlantis without having to use his ship for a while.—Anubis 10545 18:11, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I wanna see the Ancients, mabye a lost ship or something that they find like in The Return, Part 1. Id just love to see a fully powererd Anient warship (hopefully something bigger and better than the Aurora class) smashing a fleet or Wraith, or at the very least Atlantis firing a proper drone swarm.Sman789 18:51, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
That would be nice too.—Anubis 10545 19:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I don't know if a bigger warship other that an Aurora class being shown in the movie is good, but thats my opinion!—Tau'ri 21300 02:05, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Why do you want the only good charecters in the show to die? You're all mad Sman789 07:52, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I was just thinking that my same reasonings for Caldwell dying can also be applied to Lorne. Man, it would be epic if he died. Also, I just rewatched Be All My Sins Remember'd, and they instituted "Plan B" for a full week before anything happened. So throughout the Pegasus galaxy, there's the remains of 7 Asuran ship crews just waiting for someone to curiously fly by and pick them up. We could very well see them again. —Ka'lel 08:46, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

The force of an explosion would kill them Sman789 07:52, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

what 7 warships? all of the asurans retreated to asuras when they found out that they were being tracked. then, all the warships that weren't detroyed by the allied fleet were destroyed by the explosion of asuras. unfortunately, the original plan didn't work. if it did, the warships in orbit couldve been taken by the tauri. the 7 hives wouldn't have stood a chance if they desided to take em out aswell—SupremeCommander 06:06, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

I haven't got a clue what you're talking about, I was talking about the 7 warships that were destroyed by the Daedalus before "plan B" was instituted. Granted, the Asurans might be in pieces, but I can totally picture a Traveler ship passing by one of the debris fields of a destroyed Asuran ship to look for parts to improve their ships. They carelessly bring aboard some pieces, the pieces are reactivated, and (just like Niam) the Asurans live on to cause a ruckus.—Ka'lel 16:50, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
oh, those 7 warships, well the first one they destroyed was completely obliterated. they kept firing at the wreckage. i doubt the travelers would pick up the wreckage cuz they know about the asurans and i doubt they'd do something to bring em back. also, i bet that the ships were demolished so yeah..—SupremeCommander 20:36, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Asgard beams seem to distribute massive amounts of energy around the ship disrupting systems (otherwise thered just be a small hole in the ships,) so all the useful components were probably fried and useless to the travellers anyway. Sman789 21:18, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I was just using the travelers as an example of how an Asuran (or nanites at least) would be picked up by a passer-by. I think they're more resilient than people are giving them credit for. —Ka'lel 22:13, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
An explosion with enough energy to tear apart a ship as large as the Aurora would probably be able to destroy nanites or at least damage them beyond repair. Besides, could they even be detected whilst offline in space by any sensors that aren't Asgard or Ancient, I doubt even those ones would see them.

the wreckage wouldn't be noticed if they were destroyed in empty space. only if they were destroyed like in the orbit of a planet that was visited by another space faring race or something. and even then, no1 would waste their time in demolished, and completely obliterated wreckage of a ship—SupremeCommander 00:23, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

They might investigate the wreckage, especially seeing as its an "ancestral warship", albeit an older one. Nethertheless the nanites would probably be mistaken for the metal dust scraped off the hull fragments by the explosion. Sman789 00:42, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

it would be cool if the movie was a final battle against the wraith with every single hive, cruiser, and dart the wraith hav vs. all 304 and 302 the tau'ri hav plus atlantis!—Tau'ri 21300 05:51, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

That would be a disaster. Both the battle and the movie's plot. I mean, I like space battles, but that's not a battle... it's a massacre. Maybe something like that would be nice though...—Anubis 10545 06:06, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Didnt Atlantis replenish their complement of drones?—Tau'ri 21300 06:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, in The Tower.—Anubis 10545 02:22, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, it wouldnt be a massacre if the Tau'ri were able to build more ships w/ Beam Weapons, 302's, Atlantis w/ drones....oh, and the travelers!—Tau'ri 21300 03:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

I just read the whole page and I would like to make a couple points:

1) We know for a fact that Ancient Sensors can pick up deactivated Nanites. Niam was completely deactivated and floating in space and they found him with no trouble.

2) The Travellers suck! They totally cannot fight, I mean, they accounted for something 50% of our losses during the Final Battle of Asuras. And besides, they lost their Ancient Warship anyway and honestly, who wants to see a bunch of "rinky-dink, shoe lace & chewing gum spaceships" flying around in a circle while the Tau'ri do all the work? The best part of the Travellers was Larin in leather!

Also, I don't know if there is anything to it or not, but I have heard a lot of rumors that Micheal Kenmore will be returning. Supposedly he survived the 300 story free fall into freezing waters. Rakata Ba'al 17:01, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Rakata Ba'alRakata Ba'al 17:01, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
