If captain Warrick's race helped defeat the Goauld and were far more advanced than the humans, surely they must have known about the stargate and what is was even if they didn't know how to use it. I would be better to state that the prisoners didn't know what is was 08:32, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Unless the Serakin buried the Stargate when they freed the planet, and as time went by, it passed into the realm of legend. -- SFH 16:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

how could a ship with a max speed of 100,000 km/h travel between star system in less the then tens of thousands of years and if they are capable of interstellar travel why have the Hebridans never encountered humans from over planets before

  • dont be a tard its not that simple, there are thousands of planets in the gate system possibly millions, in the galaxy there could be upwards to a billion planets. The serrakin at one point had a stargate but they used ships to gain access to the worlds around them. think the ancients dont ut stargates on worlds in neighboring systems they wouldnt because they have ships. the stargates are a means of travelling from one half of the galaxy to the other
    • Even if the Stargate was in the very next star system it would take thousands of years at 100,000 km/hr. In order to get there in the short time, from the planet/system the gate was on in it had to be much faster then light speed. Hell, from Earth to the nearest star system is over 4 light years. By the way, light speed is 1,079,000,000 km/hr. The page had listed 100,000 km/hr. Also, the Episodes in which we encountered them said that they had not in fact used the Stargate prior to SG-1's encounter. Moving the stargate to Hebridan would have been nothing to them if they had previous experience with Stargates. It seems the Goa'uld took the gate with them when they left the planet, as a last resort, like they did in the episode where SG-1 caused the rebellion in Earth's past. The Serrakin are guarenteed to be from another Solar system, which means they have to be travelling at light speeds in order to have regular contact between the nearest Star Systems. Even matching light speeds, it'd take years to get from one to the other, Warrick took SG-1 back and forth in space race.. 20:24, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
