isnt there just ONE timeship cos the original one IS the one found in giza that was used by the other team or am i just getting confused again!!!!

Prefer Gateship
- Why did Major Sheppard decide to call them puddlejumpers. That name is really lame, Gateship which was the original suggestion and what the Asurans called it sounds much cooler. Furthermore, how come the lame name ended up winning among the Tau'ri. Chevron 7 07:53, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Individual Jumper articles
I've seen some red links to Jumper 3, Jumper 6 and Jumper 8, I believe, and seeing how one particular Jumper that Sheppard's team left on Michael's cruiser recently reappeared I'm wondering whether it would be useful to have separate articles for the individual Jumpers where they were named or could easily be named (such as Michael's Jumper to go along with Michael's cruiser). - Bell'Orso 13:34, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

- Been a while, hasn't it? Anyway, I recently regained interest in this and am sifting through ATL episodes to see when they actually refer to individual Jumpers in dialogue. So far I'm halfway through season 1 and Jumpers 2 and three have been mentioned or even appeared multiple times, as in both were seen during the events of Underground and 2 was seen and 3 mentioned in both The Storm and The Eye. Drones
Apparetly the magazine thing says jumpers have 6 drones but on the episode Adrift there are more than 6 fired and they still return with full drone ports suggesting a reload system. I think even on Rising P2 they fire about 6 and still have full ports when they go through the gate. Also those magazines are often wrong the pic at the bottom of the page from the magazine says drones are in the same wings as the engines but look at the screencaps they are clearly on seperate wings. —Unsigned comment by Sman789 (talk • contribs).
- Last time I checked, guns seemed to have dozens more bullets in the movies than in real life before requiring a reload, so this must be like that kind of thing. - Well thats the thing, it needs to reload but they must be stored somewhere and it definitely has more than 6 even if it can only fire 6 at a time. Besides, what you see on the screen is closer to cannon and more important than what a magazine says. —Unsigned comment by Sman789 (talk • contribs).

- Just watched Rising again, the jumper fires 8 during the entire. It fires one at the first dart, 3 at the second, 3 at the third, and another 1 at the last dart just before flying through the gate. Is that not reason enough to change it to "8+ Drone weapons"? Sman789 21:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Airtight/water tight
they are two different things. Something can be water tight but not air tight.
Water trying to get in would being forced against the air inside and this would slow the flow of water in, as shown when he increases the air pressure at the end of the ep.
in space on the other hand the pressure outside is zero and the air inside will attempt to escape to equalize the pressure.
For example a submarine would not work in space.
overall it was probably just artistic license to make the ep work.

- Pretty sure episode in question is Thirty-Eight Minutes. The Gateship article used to say the bulkhead door inside the gateship is capable of retaining atmosphere against the vacuum of space, which it is not. —Ka'lel 21:26, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Inertial Dampers
I'm sure I remember inertial dampers being mentioned in relation to Gateships (being the reason that the occupants don't suffer acceleration/deceleration forces, but this isn't mentioned in the article. Am I mis-remembering this? 86.7.21.237 23:36, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Roles of the Gateship
would you consider one of the roles of a gate ship a fighter? because they are used in the episode when Atlantis is on the run from Lantea in the episode Adrift they send multiple gate ships to tackle the asteroid belt with their drone weapons. This obviously means that good pilots + the fact that drones lock on to targets non-friendly to the computer would be effective in combat.
also what does it mean that they are used as a shuttle.

- Gateships function as "shuttles" because they ferry people around, explore, and carry goods through the stargate. I wouldn't actually consider one of their roles as a fighter, because it seems to me that the drones were just added for self defense, and in all likelyhood they weren't added to the design until they began fighting the Wraith. —AscendedAlteran 02:36, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Auto pilot
I recently added that Puddle Jumpers 'gating' to Atlantis go into autopilot, it has since been removed (I had cited the wrong part of a two-parter). I was wondering what section of the article that it should be mentioned in. —Maybourne 21:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Gate Ship Naming...
The Gate Ship, i.e. Puddle Jumper, was named such because like Earths Helicopters, which Shepphard is a pilot of, Helicopters are refered to as Puddle Jumpers. This is due to size, manuverability, range and crew support. At no point was the reference that it trverses the Puddle in the Event Horizon ever addressed.
