Went through and watching Season 10, noted something at the Battle of Chulak. 40:56 in the episode you can't see the shields around the Ori Warship. And before those nitpickers say it disappeared against the atmosphere, it's not there. Put it on the best TV/monitor you can get your hands on. The [[Ha'tak]]'s impacts the shields and drains them. So the last part of the explosion does impact the ship. Probably barely scratched the paint but should be noted in the article.

it was called a mothership in unending

Explosives Onboard

Given the fact that no use of explosives to destroy the ship (via beams, rings or even planting them manually) have failed, it seems likely that this could be due to internal dampening fields (like those mentioned in Nemesis).

ori fighters

just wondering were it says were an ori mothership has five hundred fighters.

Here -- Matthew R Dunn 21:59, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

how do you get those pages without having to buy them. do you download them. I would like to be able to get them. Thank you very much for answering my question about the fighters.

I've scanned some of them in and currently host them on my site, such as the one Mr. Dunn linked you to just there. The rest of the ones I've scanned in can be found here, though I won't ever be scanning in all of them as that would stop there being any point in anyone but me buying the magazines. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 00:40, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Wow, that's impressive. Although it seems like everything I read immensely contradicts everything that's shown on the show.—Anubis 10545 01:16, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

how many soldiers do you think this ship holds. I Think it holds about 10,000

maybe that blue ring in the center is actually a portable stargate used for transporting the fighters to the battle. it might have a limited power core that needs to recharge after 500 fighters fly through. this would also explain how empty the design looks because they can just gate any supplies in ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 08:53, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
lol more reasons why the magazine is uncredible (not incredible, but uncredible), here it makes mention of o'neill and teal'c escaping "p3c-249" in an alkesh yet apparently it doesnt exist. and according to this the wraith cruiser not only has shields, but it can also carry 20 hive ships. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 13:53, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
...what are you talking about? P3C-249 was the planet in Avenger 2.0. O'Neill and Teal'c were stuck there and managed to fight their way to an al'kesh which later came to the rescue of Carter and Felger. If you're going to insult something, please try to get the facts straight. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 13:57, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
sorry i just woke up and may not be thinking clearly. this might also explain why the cruiser holds 20 hive ships. please confirm if that is what it really says on that image. as for the ori warship, lets ignore the discrepancy between its width and that of the supergate. by taking a ruler and measuring the magazine's own schematic on the screen the length/width ratio does not match with the given statistics. even eyeballing it or any number of ori ships that have appeared on the show, it should be fairly obvious that it isnt a 110-85 ratio. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 14:03, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Length

There seems to be some inconsistency in length. If an Asgard O'Neill-Class Ship is 1500 meters in length, it should be almost the same size as one of these Ori motherships, but clearly in battle the Asgard vessels are far smaller in comparison. According to the O'Neill-class ship, the vessels length is listed as 1500, and the Ori only 1100 meters. Something doesn't look right. --Venixer 03:11, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

I think its a case of the O'neill being written as to big rather than the Ori one being written as too small, I douby any ship other than the City ship exceeds 1.2-1.5km Sman789 03:28, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Wrong!The aurora-class battleship is 3,000m to 3,500m which is 3.0km to 3.5km.

Yeah and the city ship is only 800+ meters99.150.196.78 21:28, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Try manhattan for a size? because its much much bigger than 800+NH-obi 18:31, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

If the supergate is only 300-400m in diameter, How can the Ori mothership possibly be 850m wide??

warship or mothership?

didn't the show call it motherships

the characters particularly said "MOTHERSHIP".—Tau'ri 21300 (talk) (Contribs) 05:19, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

Isn't mothership just a slang term that the Tau'ri use to refer to any big enemy carrier ship, I think warship is more appropriate seeing as they do not function solely as carriers--99.141.177.103 22:51, March 15, 2010 (UTC)

width

Ori Warship can´t have width 800 meter, if the Supergate have diameter only 400 meters. Heisy (talk) (Contribs) 19:36, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

its from the dvd magazine and thus probably wrong —ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 07:21, March 10, 2010 (UTC)
Has the dvd magazine ever said anything that couldn't be contradicted in one way or another, why is it even considered cannon.--99.141.182.124 15:12, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
i really think either the ori ship or supergate or both width measurement should be removed —ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 22:59, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well as i see it it is phisicly imposible for the ships to be bigger than the supergate but not for the official source to be wrong so what i'd say is put the super gate at lets say 1000 meters or something because the ori mothership will look right at 800 meters long but not 200 meters so thats what i think

the trouble is, the same official source also gives the supergate diameter at 400 m...ive removed the supergate diameter and im going to remove this width if nobody objects, btw its also obviously out of proportion to the ship's stated length —ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 11:41, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

ok im going to address this again. how can we allow this travesty of "canon" to exist here. it's like saying pigs can fly because a "canon source" says so. this should only be here if the dvd magazine explains how an 850-meter wide ship can pass through a 400-meter ring. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 08:48, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

yes indeed it should be altered 850 is just not possible, either that or the gate is bigger than said. no matter what canon says sometimes numbers are thought of to sound good. i get that a lot on the SW wiki. so maybe this number should be looked upon without it making sense.NH-obi 22:40, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

ok ive been thinking about this and the first supergate built was made of blocks which fit through a stargate however when samantha carter is on the second supergate trying to put in an asgard control crystal the block is shown to be too big to fit through a stargate this is also shown in the pegasus project when a stargate is much smaller than a block this could also explain why the ori ships fit through the gate as the larger blocks would significantly increase the original width estimated by carter while watching the original supergate forming anyone agree?(ive also posted this on the supergate page)BlueSquadron (talk) (Contribs) 19:37, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

What Happened to these ships?

Not that many of them were destroyed in the Ori Crusade, and I doubt that the Ori followers have much need to keep them (not to mention that the intergalactic community would likely disapprove). So what happened to them? Were any of them captured by the Tau'ri? I would like to see these ships again, they are EPIC!! Maybe they can use them to mop up whats left of those pathetic hive ships in Pegasus--99.141.182.124 13:25, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

whats wrong with the former ori army using them, the jaffa use goa'uld ships —ASDF1239 DISCUSSION
00:24, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
My guess is that the Followers of Ori took them all back to their own galaxy to get out of the way of all those they had oppressed, and destroyed. To find their own way, theya re a lost people, who have only now been shown what the truth is, but they still have to find their own place.74.129.75.153 02:05, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
If they are such a lost people, why do they care what happens to their ships. They probably would want to get rid of them (they are a symbol of a bizarre alien ideology that deceived them) but wouldn't they want to make amends to the galaxy they terrorized by offering up their ships? they have a great deal of useful technology in them other than weapons (Shields, Power core, Control chair) and maybe they can do some good to Milky Way peoples, other than the usually low tech Ex-Ori worshippers .99.150.196.78 20:25, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
well, they would need their ships to get around the galaxy and for defense and such...ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 08:50, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
come to think of it now, can the ships still be flown? i thought the priors lost their powers when the ori bit it ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 04:21, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
The Ex-Ori (I can't think of a better name seeing as the have always been known by their religion) seem a bit primitive to need such advanced and powerful ships to function as a society, They likely have some other means of getting around their own galaxy seeing as the ships themselves were only recently constructed in preparation for the crusade. The Ori ships do not need the priors to fly them as SG 1 was able to fly one back to the Ori galaxy with the Sangraal on board--99.152.246.38 22:10, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
maybe they will build a supergate in the pegasus galaxy with the help of the humans and kill the wraith ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 23:38, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
If the Ex-Ori retain enough knowledge to construct another super gate set and if they have enough power to send the pieces by stargate (maybe using some of the Ori power cores) then yes a new supergate would be an asset, it would be far easier to gaurd than the il-fated Midway space station.
