What about it being powered on Ori worship power, afterall they activate it with their staves which are their link to the Ori, and the staves also seem to collect the power from prostration, could they be using this power to power the ships, this might seem like direct intervention, but if the power is never making it to the Ori, and only collected and stored in the staves it can be transfered to the ship. It is then stored on the ship, or the ship is linked to the source of the power, giving it lasting power. Anyone else think this may be possible?74.129.66.59 15:50, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

I.... don't think so, I simply can't conceive a way to transfer power of their belief directly to the ship. The Ori themselves of course could direct that power to the system, being ascended and all, but this can't work in the MW, the followers can't believe in the ship. Besides, that's not a very smart way to build a ship. Jauh0 (talk) (Contribs) 22:45, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Could it be possible that they are using a Singularity to power it? They already used them to power the forcefield for their Supergates, whats to stop them using it to power their ships as well?

As a thought, if they were using the power of the belief then should the Ori's ships all turned off as soon as the Ark of Truth was activated.

It occured to me that rather than being a perfected Arcturus, the power core could be a relatively crude and/or oversized ZPM. While the highly refined design of the ZPMs made by the Lanteans may have dispensed with Arcturus-type containment and power extraction systems, it might have proved impossible to construct something quite as sophisticated in the Ori galaxy, owing to the non-existant high-tech manufacturing base. When all is said and done, for all their size and power, the Ori Mothership gives the impression of being a product of brute-force engineering rather than elegant design.

The activation procedure for the ship may be nothing more than the Prior channelling the vast power of the Ori to the core up. Thoughts? --78.33.73.67 23:39, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

could be that the ori were assisting in keeping project artcurus from overloading- or yeah, it can be a bigger zpm.

hell, thats a pretty good suggestion. why not? its possible —SupremeCommander 03:31, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

It sounds better than the other theories seeing as the ships continued to function after the Ori were dead and the Acturus core seems to be logically impossible to "Perfect"--99.152.246.38 22:03, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

In fact, thinking about it, the Ori can't use their powers to prevent exotic particle buildup. That's direct intervention in the lower planes. If they did that while their ships were in the Milky Way, the Ascended Ancients would intervene. 109.224.128.171 06:19, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
