I was wondering if perhaps this might be a better choice for a main image, as it shows most accurately the Ori as they were for most of their existence? --[[User:Sauron18|Sauron18]] 21:40, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Adria Image

Any chance of another image of Adria being used? The current one makes it seem like she's surpressing the desire to laugh. - Darth Batrus 10:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I intentionally captured this expression, but I can upload another one. - Sikon 16:56, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
    • Its just, she doesnt look very frightening in the picture, no offense meant. Its just a suggestion though. - Darth Batrus 12:46, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
      • I reverted to an earlier one, is it better? The problem I found with finding a "frightening" image is that she doesn't look frightening in AOT at all, but rather either outright stupid or a bitch, and this is the one of the few good ones I found. - Sikon 11:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
        • Yeah I think this one is better and I agree they didn't really make her very scary at all in AoT. I think the only parts that were kind of OK was when she folded her arms and looked at Vala or the walking scene around Vala but thats hardly scary even :-/ Anyway thanks for that :) -- Darth Batrus 12:10, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Ori-Ancient | Gouald-Tok'ra

I think that just like how the Tokra are a splinter group that separated from the Goulad, so the Ancients are a splinter group from the Ori.

  • Actually, Ancients and Ori are from the same race, but the Ori wanted religious beliefs rather than science, so their race was split into two, the Ori isn't the main race though :) StylaX 22:23, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Ori are not extinct

Ori is really extinct? But it is wrong they have left. Their brothers Ancients remain at a higher level of existence. Even people in the Ori, the Milky Way and Pegasus are descendants of Ori. So it is not dierk extinct.

Whoever wrote this... you've gotta learn to put each race in its place. The Ori are dead and gone, as Tomin said in "The Ark Of Truth". They never created or marked a "Second Evolution of Their Kind", like the Ancients did in Pegasus and Milky Way Galaxies (as far as we know, they never interacted, passing their "gene"). ORI are only the highly evolved humans that ascended. The humans that used to worship them are humans like us (again, as far as we know, they are not evolved like some of us - like O'neill is). 200.20.228.46 23:26, April 29, 2010 (UTC)Leonardo

The Ori's followers are normal humans, but you forget they are in the Ori galaxy. The Ori never took them from Earth, therefore the humans in the Ori Galaxy are the second eveolution of humanity the Ori created. --D Toccs (talk) (Contribs) 08:25, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Creation of the second evolution (the worshipers)

I think we have a problem with this part, in timeline here on stargate wikia, it is stated that Ori ascended and created this evolution between 10-5 millon years ago, just like the Ancients in MW. Well i see just small problem, in the begining of the Ark of true, we can clearly see that on the Artus mallon there is a village, a village with citizens on the same technological level as the followers of the ori. Correct me if I am wrong but it could be explained only that the Ori allready used they technology and knoledge and created followers to worship them which would make them something very similar to Goaulds. I simply get the facts we know together. They had the means to create humans (they were on the level that they had intergalactic ships and most probably the ring transporters so they should have been able to create their own evolution again). I do not know how else we can explain that in the society of very advanced Humans, there were primitive peoples on the same leve like the Ori followers 50 mil years later. The only problem is that physiologicaly they could evolve very much in 50 mil. years but is it safe to say that if the Ancients had means to wipe out the life in the entire galaxy, the Ori had it also. What do you think about it? --ScorpiO (talk) (Contribs) 18:04, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Ascended beings have shown the ability to, more or less, create matter out of nothing. Oma did it with a Stargate on Abydos, and all ascended can move from energy to human form. It's conceivable that they simply "wished" advanced tech into existence. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 00:07, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

why

why do they need followers if theyre -ascended-? they can just use their ascended powers to fight. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 01:58, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Its explained in the show, fairly well, the Ori take power from their followers, making themselves stronger, they seek to expand to start taking power from the Milky way population. However, the poulace of the Milky Way also has ascended beings, and not wanting to wage an ascended vs. ascended war, they send followers to the Milky way, because the Ascended beings of the Milky way(ancients+others ancients helped), will not interfere with followers of the Ori waging a war.74.129.75.153 07:54, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
