Are the Nox just one of the human species create by the Ancients in order preserve their race. With the Nox simple being older then other human species in the Milky Way. As we don't known how long the seeding process takes or if muliple planets were seeded at the same time or one at a time.

Interesting theory. Could well be true. I was starting to think perhaps their human exterior could possibly have been just a form they mimicked after the Tau'ri came through the gate for the first time, a way of making them appear less hostile? We've seen other races do this all the time from the Sekkari to the Reol. However it would be an untrusting thing to do, so perhaps they really do look like they do in the show.

Are the Nox the only other near-human species in the show?

I'd love to see the Nox returned in a movie. They have to be one of my favourite species of alien in the Stargate universe--Benxander (talk) (Contribs) 20:38, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't be massivly surprised if both the Asgard and the Nox were split-off groups of Ancients who broke off before the Ancients left for Pegasus - it would explain why both look human (before the cloning the Asgard were human, more or less), and why both posessed advanced technology even at the time of the Ancients. Of course, seeing as the split off groups were smaller, it also explains why the Asgard and Nox didn't advance as fast as the Ancients and so weren't as powerful (when the Ancients returned from Pegasus they were stronger than the Asgard - and still are in many ways). Perhaps the Asgard split off because they believed in genetic modification and cloning and the Nox split off because they were pacifists. Sman789 (talk) (Contribs) 01:01, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe the Nox are from the first time the ancients seeded life in the milky way they just properly survived the plague, because they can bring people back to life.

The alliance[]

I would certainly like to see Earth make further regular contact with the Nox. With Earth in the alliance of four (two? three if the furlings are still around, five if you count the dead/ascended) great races, they may still be new to it all, but are certainly stepping up to the challenge. Personally I'm surprised that the Nox planet wasn't their first stop once they got the Prometheus back under Earth control - maybe they just forgot. Sman789 (talk) (Contribs) 00:55, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
What good would it do? The Nox probably wouldn't have changed their opinion much, if at all. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 00:59, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
