Yep, confirmed by it's number 10 spot in the season. It seems that now there will be a long break before the show resumes, leaving people with a show that hasn't really developed yet, possibly leading to a decrease of viewers. A lot of shows have mid-season breaks. Unfortunately, it does often result in lower ratings when it returns if it is not marketed/advertised really well. What's really puts SGU in trouble is that there's a two week break until Justice airs. Having a gap, airing a single episode, then a long mid-season break is not a good way to keep viewership. I myself am not that concerned with ratings, as long as it stays above 1.6 or 1.7 million viewers. Also, according to Joe's blog, the DVR ratings are still more or less the same since Air, Part 1, so, definitely not worried. -- Matthew R Dunn ^{(talk) (Contribs)} 16:52, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure how Syfy is treating the series, but in Canada, it's one of SPACE's flagship series, so it gets a lot of promo time. If SGU is poorly marketed/advertised during the hiatus, it will be trying for the series. People have short attention spans and need to be reminded that the show is coming back. even though Darkness and Light caused episodes to be pushed forward, i think it was a mistake to NOT leave the mid season break on a cliff hanger. they should have extended the first-half of the season, to include the episode Space. Space would have probably left the series on a good cliff-hanger epsiode, thus making sure views returned for the 2nd part of the season (or as many as possible). --Stargate TL1 ^{(talk) (Contribs)} 19:20, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

An awful blabber...

I heard that it will be a break in the Series. That's the reason why we didn't see the 10th episode.My question is: How long this break will be? I hope only a few weeks...—Unsigned comment by 91.82.69.73 (talk • contribs).

Just to clarify, the break between "Life" and "Justice" is NOT the mid-season break we have been discussing! That was a one-week break due, unfortunately, to the American Thanksgiving. Many shows/networks will not air new episodes during a holiday to avoid poor ratings (if everyone's busy with family, why air the episode?). Which is part of the reason there is a mid-season break between "Justice" and "Space". This break usually lasts a few weeks to a month, but given the timing, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't return until January. Kal'el ^{T | C} - 20:16, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Ming-Na

I made a mistake early on in the series of listing Ming-Na as a main cast member. I rewatched whatever episode it was and hers was the first name under "Guest starring". She was definitely billed as a main cast member for "Justice". Kal'el ^{T | C} - 04:25, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Predictability of the show.

Anyone else feel the show is predictable, first with the episode where the ship was flying into the sun(my first thought was it was recharging it's batteries and that's exactly what happened) and now with Justice I am confident we will see Rush get the crashed ship operational(or activate it's emergency distress beacon and bring the race of designers to the planet, thus being recused that way), and come looking for the Destiny. It's convenient he was stranded on a planet with a clear means of escape, or at the least sending out a distress signal. Could this be a further advancement of the mystery craft we saw undocking with the destiny in the earlier episode? On top of that the weapons systems on Destiny are now active as well meaning space battles may be in the future. Mictlantecuhtli ^{(talk) (Contribs)} 12:09, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

This happens with more than about 90% of television or movies. If you watch enough of the show, and pay close attention, you start to see the direction it is taking through the directors eyes.. Whether this is intentional or not is another story, but i can agree with you about it being predictable, however that shouldn't put you off watching it, infact it should keep you interested because you can be happy when your right and be even happier when your wrong (surprising plot twist etc). Btw as far as i know, the undocking of the mystery craft was one of the 2 shuttles, and i'm almost certain it was the one where the senators body was in. They are probably just discarding the body the best way they could, don't get me wrong i'm not 100% positive but when i first saw that scene i was the same as you, thought "oOoOoo what are they going to do with this?" but later on i thought about it and it was most likely the shuttle where the senators body was in. (Because in a later episode they use the second shuttle to abandon the ship, which turned out to be pointless because of the ships shields protecting it from the sun). Rush is the main character in an ensemble cast. Of course he's going to use the ship to get back, that's not the point. It's how he'll do it that's interesting. The predictability of "Light" was a bit of a misstep, because it was attempting to build suspense and drive-home the fact that they could die, when that was clearly not going to be the case. "Justice", however, is not doing that. There's no question Rush will get back somehow and this time they're not baiting us with it, just like the ending to "Time". Also, the ship at the end of "Air, Part 3" was not the other shuttle. It was an alien craft that has yet to be addressed, but every-single-time a cast member is asked about it (I've heard/seen David Blue, Alaina Huffman, Justin Louis, Brad Wright and Joseph Mallozzi talk about it) they say we will find out later what that was.
