that is crazy! a race of beings advanced enough to create a star and a planet so quickly. but...a thought did occur to me, an epiphany..what if it was an ascended being? maybe an ancient? they were thrown a lifeline and they didn't take it...too bad there was no stargate on that planet...they woulda gotten so much more food. oh wow, another thought just hit me. if it was an ancient, he/she may have also added it into the database and planted a gate on what i would like to call Beta Earth. wow...this definitely isn't over. i really doubt that it was the blue alien race that created that planet..they have too weak weapons for that..—SupremeCommander (talk) (Contribs) 02:18, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

I naturally wasn't too fond of all the religious references... but it was still a good episode overall. Although I was also kind of mad that they had to leave the shuttle on the planet. And the whole thing with TJ being pregnant worries me about SGU's future... although there is the possibility for a sad episode where it dies or she aborts it (though that may be too controversial). Although it would seem more pleasant to have avoided the pregnant thing altogether. Although the actress actually was (or is...) pregnant... eh. I'd just hate to seem it turn more into a soap opera... —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 07:30, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Well don't worry, there's been signs that the baby's going to die by season's end, so that little soap opera bit will be nice and squished for you. :) Byakuya Truelight (talk) (Contribs) 07:32, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

i hope the ancients if there are any are bad guys like they shouldve been in sga ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 08:22, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

i'm kind of annoyed now. now, in this episode, Rush tells Young to use military force to bring them back. In the discussion for "Divided" i initiated a huge argument in the support of Rush..i've been completely underminded by Rush..maybe they brought the shuttle back up to the Destiny? i mean, i was capable of flying.. so they could have used it later on...idiot Young, couldn't he have told them over the radio what he was going to do?. i kinda likle Young now that he saw the error of what he did..—SupremeCommander (talk) (Contribs) 16:53, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

With this episode, SGU became my favourite of the three series. Mainly thanks to the continuity between episodes, it's so much more entertaining and rewarding than watching a monster-of-the-week series. When the shit hits the fan in SGU, the repercussions linger. Kal'el T | C - 01:16, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
More like when the shit that is SGU hits the fans of the show on a weekly basis :) . Seriously though, SGU has gotten better. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 01:25, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
It's a much better replacement for BSG than Caprica. You want a sci-fi soap, watch an episode of that. Kal'el T | C - 02:02, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
Definitely. I've watched a few episodes of Caprica and... ugh. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 02:21, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

In regard to the previous comments: I highly doubt the planet and star were built by the Blue Aliens, because they did not seem that advanced, or by the Ancients/an Ascended being, because nobody recognized the alien text on the obelisk. As for the spiritual aspect, the conflicts surrounding religion/spirituality worked really well in BSG and I think it'll probably work well here too. Caine really had a Gaius Baltar vibe going on in this episode. Also, the loss of one of only two shuttles is a big deal (though they do own a Blue Alien fighter now), but this episode was about making amends, and leaving a shuttle for the civilians is a huge step forward for Young in that department. Besides, it took them a month just to get it to fly, I doubt it'd be much help in the foreseeable future. Oh and one thing that annoyed me (and I added it to Armstrong's page) was that they didn't deal with or mention what happened to Armstrong's body. For a series that I'm always praising for its continuity, that kind of sucked. Unless I missed something, then never mind. Kal'el T | C - 03:31, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Destiny probably has a morgue. And I thought Young said they destroyed the blue alien fighter so the aliens couldn't track them.... probably in Divided. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 05:06, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
SGU is great, it's good that TJ is pregnant so long as it doesn't take 13 seasons for the baby to become a good character (like 10 years old or something), I'd rather have a Naomi Wildman (STVoy) in two seasons time than a little toddler. Actually, I'll go a step further than that, I think a child age 10+ would (or at least could) be a very good character and I would encourage it to happen :D Sman789 (talk) (Contribs) 19:52, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Planet

The ForeRunners are in the StarGate Universe. 10 bucks they'll either find the Ark or a Halo Ring along the road. Mr White (talk) (Contribs) 00:59, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Robot like thing

What is that robot like thing in a box on Destiny? [1] Lordqaz (talk) (Contribs) 03:34, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • good question. destiny is very very old and has probably been occupied several times in the past, maybe some pervious alien race left it for unknown reason--99.141.187.200 01:18, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
My money's on an industrial-grade can opener. ;) —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 01:54, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
It's either an R2, a Dalek, Johnny 5, Wall-E, Gort, Awesome-O, Rosie, Marvin the Paranoid Android, Robby the Robot, Alpha 5 or a Roomba. For those wondering, those were references to Star Wars, Doctor Who, Short Circuit, Wall-E, TDTESS, South Park, The Jetsons, Hitchhiker's Guide, Lost in Space/Forbidden Planet, the original Power Rangers, and real-life, in that order. Those are the robots I could think of off the top of my head. My money's on an Ancient Roomba. Kal'el T | C - 02:47, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

It's probably what they'll use to rescue the team stranded on "Human". Unsigned comment by Sman789 (talk • contribs).
Destiny hasn't been occupied even once, at least there's no proof of that, and they aren't in the logs. But yeah, perhaps some robot built by the ancients to repair the ship? -Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 07:37, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
maybe the logs got deleted each time a species occupied it. it could be a mobile temporary home for various groups across the stars. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 08:03, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
