: He got the Asgard technology from Anubis, who downloaded it from Thor's mind, while he didnt get thors complete knowledge, he did get some. The basics of cloning tech could have also been developed by a variety of races, and even on Earth, though he would require tech from somewhere else to mature the clones, perhaps the Nanites that Goa'uld have used, or some other technology. Anubis likely knew that Ba'al was not wholy faithful, but Anubis knew nothing could stop him, and allowed ba'al to do whatever, because it would have cost him more men if their fleets had battled it out, making Anubis's plans more difficult. Ba'als clones, travel around quickly because the gate system is instantaneous, I dont know what you mean, Goa'uld Ha'tak's also are very fast, 32000 times the speed of light, perhaps you could clarify. He produces them quickly, using one of many forms of technology, which could have been acquired in the milky way, or from Thor's mind, accelerates the growth, through one of many means, perhaps nanites, and then scatters them around. What aschen weapon? He was killed by a sword, in the one he created, and shot by a gun in the one mitchel created. Are you guessing that in the 2010 timeline that biogenic weapon wiped out all goa'uld. We dont know what that war was actually like, they dont say, Goa'uld are resistant to disease so that weapon might not have worked, for all we know, they could have created, or mass produced the symbiote poison.74.129.75.153 09:04, April 9, 2010 (UTC)

I don't get what they meant when Vala said she would help ba'al's host cope with not having a goa'uld. he shouldent have any consciousness at all because he's a clone, there is absolutely no realistic way to replicate the memories of a person using only DNA. The Asgard who ba'al learned to make ba'als from, even incapable of replicating a clone's consciousness without downloading it from the last clone, and even if they were capable of doing this, why would ba'al wan't to replicate his clone's consciousness. Unless there is something that we don't know about ba'al and his host's relationship, this presents an odd question (maybe his host was really the hand behind the throne the whole time and the symbiote was the weak willed servant!)--99.135.144.28 23:43, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

: Goa'uld have genetic Memory, humans do not. Any child of a Goa'uld would possess all of that Goa'uld's memories, however, not just any Goa'uld can produce a child, they generally need a queen to reproduce, unless they use their host to father a human child. I think for Cloning, it was a basic tech, but one Goa'uld never really applied, they dont have to have taken it from the Asgard. I'm thinking that its one of two things... a hole in the movie, something they didnt think through... Or, its a thing where he only had trace memories from having been blended, mostly like the mind of a child, who would have been developing. Unlike Asgard bodies, which are incapable of becoming truly consious until having a mind transfered into it, a human body would develop a mind, he shouldnt recall his original bodies pre-blended body though.74.129.66.59 08:15, July 25, 2010 (UTC)

: ...Well he must have transferred his conscious Asgard style which by extension would include his host memories, and presumbably a powerful amount of insanity. Otherwise that would lead to a whole host of issues, just off the top of my head: The harcesis(sp) storyline would be even sillier, the cloning doesn't even make sense since it's really just cloning the host anyway, if the goa'uld are already such clones of each other the plan was suicidal given goa'uld nature and/or Ba'al shouldn't have even needed to bother since his children would have worked just as well; their secrets, as well as those of their rivals, would be no further away, and always had been than a jaffa pouch & an unlucky host. In short installing Ba'al vSystemLord2.0 includes the host, and installing Ba'al vDay1BasicGoa'uld (or more exactly vQueenX1.0) is what the genetic memory gives you. (and is all any sensible goa'uld would want walking around anyway). That is the host isn't really remembering his own memories he's remembering Ba'al's memories of his memories. I have a question: I don't know if they ever address this in the series or the movie, but when in Stargate: Continuum the real Ba'al went back in time to 1939 to change history and build his empire, wouldn't there have been another Ba'al there who was originally from that timeline? A Ba'al-from-the-past, or something?

So... you know how Ba'al destroyed a star so that he wouldn't lose a territory? Why wouldn't he just do that with Earth? When he went back in time he could have just blown us up so that we wouldn't be a nuisance. Or he could have not gone back in time to get stabbed by his wife and done it after the Asgard died. Either way, he probably would have complete dominance over the galaxy if he did. --Undomesticatedequine69 23:36, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

-I don't think that Ba'al would of wanted to destroy Earth or the Tau'ri, he liked living here too much. He was more like an agressive business tycoon on Earth than a system lord, an inter-stellar playboy, if you will. Jento113 (talk) (Contribs) 19:00, March 4, 2010 (UTC))

I agree, that basically sums up Ba'al in his entirety: "an inter-stellar playboy" albeit one with super-maniacle alien technology and the cunning intellect to use it--99.141.177.103 01:36, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
