Is this Expedition under the authority of Stargate Command, or is it seperate entirely?--GingerM 20:32, 20 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Last time I checked it was under the Authority of the IOA. Raven's wing 17:51, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Definitely the IOA The Atlantis Expedition was meant to be an international conglomerate. 24.24.173.221 06:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Interesting. I've never noticed Pegasus in the Atlantis Expedition logo. I always thought it was just a chevron.—Anubis 10545 01:45, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Patch Question

I've noticed that often people either don't have, or cover their patches...I can't tell which. Basically, where there should be a flag of their respective country, there is instead a blank, felt rectangle, or where there should be the Atlantis or SG-1 patches, there is a blank circle. Being that I'm Canadian and don't know much about military procedures, could anyone shed some light as to the reasoning here? —Ka'lel 19:15, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Sheppard and co often remove their patches, when offworld, perhaps for camourflage/hide their from Atlantis. I`m not sure, but Vala originally lacked some patches, since she originally wasnt part of the sgc or sg1. there was a scene (dont know the episode) where she was finally accepted as sg1-member and was given the official patches. And i am not sure if red really means command, Beside Weir, Carter, Teyla and woolsey, i think i have seen at least one more red woman (but i´m not sure) i have thought, red means diplomatic SG-27 (talk) (Contribs) 21:35, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Asgard

Added asgard as a race met in pegasus galaxy.

Leading nations

"The Atlantis Committee is composed of the representatives of several nations, but the leaders of the committee seem to be the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Russia, Australia and China."
Canada and Australia? I agree on the other ones, but I think neither Canada nor Australia are more important than e.g. the Czech Republic or Germany. --77.189.119.197 15:37, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't know about Australia, but Rodney McKay is Canadian. —Ka'lel 06:11, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
untrue, Australia is much more important then czech republic or germany. even better than America. Escyos (talk) (Contribs) 01:08, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Makes sense. That is why, of course, whenever the world looks to one particular nation, it's to Australia. Like that time when the Aussies came to the States and protected us from the Japanese. Wait... that one was the other way around, wasn't it? Or how Australia spearheaded the Stargate program, making it possible for other nations to use the gate and go to the Pegasus galaxy as well. Oh, wait, no... that wasn't Australia either. I'll admit, I do think it makes sense to include Canada and Australia. Canada, after all, is a major player in NATO (though in all fairness, so is Germany, and the Czech Republic is a member too), and both Canada and Australia are major players on the world scene, politically, economically, and militarily. But the whole "___ is better than ___" or "country X is more important than country Y" is just infantile. SpartHawg948 (talk) (Contribs) 00:49, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
id say the mere fact you were gloating about the americans war history just proves my point. Australia is a better country. everyones free to do what they want and muslim arent beaten up on the street, less crime, no beavers stealing out dams. Escyos (talk) (Contribs) 07:29, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, there was no gloating. If you really want me to gloat about America's war history, I can, but what I said above was not gloating. Merely citing a few simple facts (a bit sarcastically, I will concede) in an attempt to show the fallacy of declaring Australia (or any country, for that matter) "better". After all, in America people are free to do what they want (and I dare say they are given more personal freedoms than Australians, if the copyright laws of the two nations are any indicator), and there really aren't cases of Muslims being beaten up in the streets. This isn't Europe. I could rag on Australia, as you seem to want to do to America, but I really see no need. After all, I rather like Australia. They have long been a friend and ally to the United States, which is why I pointed out (if you will note) that I see no reason Australia wouldn't be considered one of the "leading nations". But again, any attempt to call any nation "better" is just plain childish and silly. SpartHawg948 (talk) (Contribs) 08:50, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
which is why we are better. Escyos (talk) (Contribs) 09:38, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
Because you're childish and silly? There really wasn't anything in that post that was suitable for that response. Other than the childish and silly bit. And, as a fan of Australia, I refuse to believe that the entire country could be full of such people. In fact, I know several Aussies who are most definitely not childish. But whatev... SpartHawg948 (talk) (Contribs) 10:16, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
no because we dont take things seriously, were not like americans who get pissed off at a tiny thing and blow it out of porportion. Escyos (talk) (Contribs) 11:18, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
You say so... though I can't remember the last time an American I knew got all pissy and started threatening to sue people because someone had the nerve to quote them on their userpage. Now that's getting pissed off at a tiny thing and blowing it out of proportion. In fact, it's probably the finest example of such I've ever seen. Don't think it was an American who did it though... :P SpartHawg948 (talk) (Contribs) 19:17, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

how is the "secret of atlantis" a "top priority"? Todd has been there several times, and most other wraith would already know that it exists... —Asdf1239 (talk) (Contribs) 11:31, February 18, 2010 (UTC)
