Joe Mallozzi had to have been joking when he wrote that. The acronym for First Atlantis Recon Team is FART. And while that's hilarious, it's probably just what the writers call them as a joke, and not the official designation, no?. =)

- Someone already brought this up shortly after Mr. Mallozzi made his announcement, and he didn't mention it being a joke. Like is already written in the article, however, the acronym for the team is AR-1, not FART. Until told otherwise, we assume anything the writers say is fact. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:52, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- I usually don't laugh at F.A.R.T. jokes... but it is rather comical. Especially because I didn't even realize what an acronym of it could be.—Anubis 10545 06:46, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
XO Question Edit
how is Teyla Emmagan the team's 2nd in command she was not a part of the Atlantis expedition that the human's sent, Doctor Rodney McKay however is and is the head of the Science Department on Atlantis as well that should make him the 2nd in command since he is a Department head like Shepperd is the Department head for the Military on Atlantis? I do not recall any show that stated Teyla was next in line, after Shepperd, granted as the leader of her people she is a "Diplomat" of sorts but McKay would be next in command, unless another ranking officer from Earth is with them. -- Marc Chase
Indeed. In "The long goodbye" McKay said that he should be officially the next in command of Atlantis after Weir and Sheppard, but those two often rather put a primitiva tribal in charge of the city when they both leave. Can't see the logic in that.... Jauh0 (talk) (Contribs) 22:29, November 28, 2010 (UTC)
