- Yes, it's entirely possible that it is originally of Ancient design. Until that is stated on the show or in spinoff material, however, we go with the only evidence we have which is that it's only used by the Asurans. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 06:22, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Ancient Evidence
If you've been urging for a larger amount of somewhat inconclusive evidence about anything lately, which doesn't really matter at all... your in luck! Just for you (all), I've compiled a gallery that contributes to the belief that this ship was actually used by the Ancients.
After reviewing this series of images, one might conclude that this ship was used in the cleansing of Asuras. Therefore, it is possible that it is one of ancient design... or at least used by the ancients.
My point is, the engines look the same... granted, it could be another sort of ship with the same engine design... it could be a lot of other things that make a... reasonable... amount of sense. Actually, the engines on the two ships do seem kind of different. I've seen the scene several times, and I always assumed that it was some sort of other Ancient ship, not the same one as the Asuran cruiser. The Asuran ship could be an upgrade, but the rears definitely look different. Also, earlier when you can actually see the Ancient ship's front end, it also looks different from the Asuran ship. You're right, and I'm also seeing ships that match neither Aurora class or the cruiser.
Asuran mid-range warship?
According to JMs Blog post and this picture it seems to be an Asuran mid-range warship. "Lifeline" would fit as a key episode for this ship, but Adrift doesn't (however, the replicators did not appear in that episode at all, did they?). The design is not exactly the same, but the proportions seem to be right. Has anyone an idea which ship else could be on that picture? 77.189.61.16 14:26, March 23, 2010 (UTC)
Why was the name of the Asuran Atropos changed back to Asuran Cruiser. in a deleted episode i saw they called it the Atropos class.
