Plot hole/Door Confusion

There was a bit of confusion regarding the situation surrounding Armstrong's death. The airlock door on the Destiny is the one that is stuck half closed and they are not able to repair or close fully. The door to the shuttle, for some reason, only remains closed if someone is inside the shuttle. They tried propping the door open to let the person back out, but the door won't stay closed unless someone is in there (it acted like elevator doors). I'm surprised they didn't try taping a pencil to a Kino to fly it in there and press the button. It strikes me as a strange safety protocol that the shuttle needs someone inside to keep the door closed. Cheers. —Ka'lel ^{(talk) (Contribs)} 20:30, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Not an Ancient Shuttle

Saving/linking the image here so it doesn't get lost and can be linked to the proper page when we find out what it is. It could be an Ancient Shuttle, but it is certainly not of the same design we saw in Air Parts 1 & 2. This shuttle has five windows: One center, rectangular; four others, circular. The Ancient shuttle has three rectangular windows. The shape is also different, as is the colour of its engine exhaust and its shielding appears to be different as well. Also, it was attached to the hull and had no visible access point to the inside of Destiny. It certainly wasn't connected to an airlock. Cheers. Kal'el ^{T | C} - 04:27, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

I didnt get the picture from the episode, it was from a Sky 1 interview show thing so I didn't see the full thing about it launching from an airlock or not, just it flying away from the Destiny. I see. That sucks then because they gave away the final scene (though it doesn't have anything to do with the rest of the episode). It was still a nice little cliffhanger that makes me want to see next week's episode. On another note, I like that Sky1's logo is in the top left, as Syfy (and SPACE) are in the bottom right. I just watched the episode and the first thing that went through my mind as it detached from Destiny is that it was a stargate. I think Destiny is seeding stargates just like the other ships that came before it, and this little ship is how it does it. If you look at it closely, it appears that the ship is a bubble and engine attached to/wrapped around a gate (the gate lies horizontal, so the engine pushes it edge-on). I'll feel pretty stupid reading this much into it if I'm wrong, but I think I'm right :) 68.118.226.15 20:45, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Vanir Starship Design Similarities

Has anyone noticed how similar the Ancient Shuttles design is to the Vanir Starship with the double engine wings and the overall shape???
