:When is it established that the Ori ships were able to travel here in hyperdrive, and not through the supergate. Now that the Alteran Ship has had its FTL changed to a Destiny Engine (Which I agree completely with) such a small ship would not be able to sustain many crew for thousands-millions of years of travel, in fact the only way that the ship could carry people for long voyages would be with Stasis Chambers or a time dilation field within the ship to slow down time. Based on the size of the village this ship could not be more than a few hundred meters in diameter at a very rough guess. What makes you think that an FTL drive or Intergalactic hyperdrive would take millions of years to reach the Milky Way? Or maybe they built themselves a supergate. Sman789 (talk) (Contribs) 12:52, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Because Destiny has taken many millions of years to travel a few billion light years....and Destny is later than the Alteran ship with the Stargates being a prototype of the Milky Way model. The oldest Milky Way model was 50 Million years old. Dr Rush said that Destiny was several billion light years from home :)

But how do we know that the AHG is anywhere near billions of light years from the MW. It could be part of the local group for all we know. FTL can go as fast as some intergalactic hyperdrives so it may have only taken a year for the Alteran ship...
