Destiny has a destiny[]

Rush finally knows why Destiny was named what it was. Rush knows its purpose. This is so exciting. But just one thing, Franklin retconned the first episode. He said Destiny is 1 million+ years old. Did the Ancients really want to come back after one million years? also, I think that the reason Destiny stops every now and then is so that the people onboard can explore the planet a little and collect supplies. It has to be the only thing..or maybe Destiny can't run straight through FTL continuously. —SupremeCommander (talk) (Contribs) 02:23, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

He doesn't know why Destiny was named Destiny, yet. —Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 06:08, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
No it has to be able to run through FTL continuously. Otherwise it'd take forever to cross a galactic void. I think in the first episode, Eli kind of gave away why the ship was named Destiny. He said, "as in our destiny?". Perhaps where ever the ship is going, it will take them to some place so amazing. It might have something to do with ascension though. Perhaps the Ancients abandoned it because they already learned to ascend and therefore wasn't necessary to pursue it anymore. Or perhaps it's the key to infinite knowledge and by ascending, the ancients gained that knowledge automatically. There's also some kind of alien presence watching over Destiny. The Obelisk Builders seem to be going everywhere Destiny goes (the nebula). I can't help but wonder if these things are all connected... General Heed (talk) (Contribs) 02:31, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

You forget, General Heed, the legend that has gone around the rest of the galaxy. Ginn tells Wray of the true legend. The 9-chevron address will unlock the potential or give them the power to control time and space. Godlike abilities. No. There has to be more. Not just silly old ascension. Maybe the new super-powerful aliens have been to the place Destiny is going. Time will tell. —SupremeCommander (talk) (Contribs) 02:53, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and also. I meant to say that maybe Destiny just needs to cool off every now and then. It's possible that that is why there are so many drives. To give them a chance to cool off during the trip through the voids. But they can't all be active at once or something..—SupremeCommander (talk) (Contribs) 02:55, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it better be good. It better not be some kind of meaning of life thing where everyone learns to get along and hold hands. It should be something... cool. General Heed (talk) (Contribs) 03:20, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Plot summary[]

Seriously, is ANYONE going to add the complete plot summary for Aftermath? I need to know what happens! I don't get SGU Season 2 in New Zealand until sometime next year...hopefully... "Aunt Phaigus! The power bill for the whole year is $7 billion dollars!" "Oh, that's just my Stargate!" This message has been signed by Morgan! 02:25, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Spoiler for you: Riley is mortally injured in a shuttle crash and dies at the end after begging Young to put him out of his misery which Young reluctantly does by suffocating him with his hands. Riley was pinned under debris from about the waist down, couldn't feel his legs (which is never a good sign) and TJ believed that the pressure on his legs from the debris was all that was keeping him from bleeding out. There was no way to save him.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) (Contribs) 03:46, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

Give me a break, it takes nearly an hour to write these things when I'm not doing it on the fly. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 03:33, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
Awwwww, Riley died! And, to Penguin, I'm sorry for pressure, but I've been checked for the past 19 hours! "Aunt Phaigus! The power bill for the whole year is $7 billion dollars!" "Oh, that's just my Stargate!" This message has been signed by Morgan! 03:55, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah it was really upseting for everyone, especialy Colonel Young who had to put him out his misery at his own request.--WarGrowlmon18 (talk) (Contribs) 04:49, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

It's just a joke. Also, could you put links in your signature, or something to separate it from the rest of the text? It's almost as long as most of your comments. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 00:12, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
