I hate this guy. - User:Phoenix304

Why? Are you racist!!! Just kidding (unless you actually are...). Although I'm not too fond of him either. I think it was the first impression he made in First Strike, being mean to Weir and sort of taking over. Although they really haven't shown him much.—Anubis 10545 05:51, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
He reminded me exactly of Bates, and I hated that guy too. Same attitude, different hair. —Ka'lel 07:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Yea, he's similar to Bates, although he was good in the episode OutcastAnubis 10545 16:28, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

First of all, I'm not racist. Second, I agree with your first impression comment. However, I must add that his latest impression wasn't to good eather. He was really a jerk in Be All My Sins Remember'd. And beyond that I partially blame him for Weir's death. If he hadn't gone through on the attack on Asuras, they wouldn't have attacked Atlantis. - User:Phoenix304

Both good points. Although if he didn't attack Asuras, Billions of people on Earth could have been killed. Also, it wasn't like he solely decided to attack Asuras. Gen. O'Neill and some other people did too, he just agreed with their opinion.—Anubis 10545 22:17, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
I guess your right. Mabye I've been a little over critical of Ellis. He's just there at the "bad" moments, and his attitude comes off a little strong. And mabye hate is too strong a word. Mabye I could just say...I prefer Caldwell.

Then again, Caldwell wasn't always too cool either. I remember strongly disliking him too. Mabye Ellis just hasn't been given a chance to grow on us yet. - User:Phoenix304

Caldwell, Bates and Ellis all have the same thing in common: They have absolutely no problem with making the hard decision. The problem is that along with that ability, comes the demeanor. "You can't risk more lives going after one person, he's an acceptable loss," is the kind of thing you can expect any one of these guys to say on multiple occasions. And it doesn't matter if they're right or not, they always think they are. Anyways, Caldwell was a Goa'uld for a bit, so that could account for his attitude. He's also not as bad as the other two were, so I'm willing to let him off the hook. However, not only was Bates a jackass, he wasn't as high in rank, nor in the position to have that kind of attitude. If I were Teyla, I'd hit that guy with a bantos stick. —Ka'lel 05:29, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Agreed! - User:Phoenix304

quite distrubing how you treat this as if ellis were a real person, guys you need to wake up. the character acts like what he/she acts like because the writer of the episode made it that way.

Well, even if he isn't in this reality, technically, he could be in another... if there are indeed an infinite number of alternate realities.:) —Anubis 10545 01:47, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
a reality like SG1 cant exist because it breaks too many laws of physics.Jsir 22:12, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
