Reason for putting the Stargate Universe Season 1 episodes' events in 2009
[1] There was also a blog entry where he (Joseph) answered to the Mailbag that SGU's Season 1 will take place in 2009, but I have lost that one. -Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 05:55, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

... Not that I've read that blog... but Justice took place in December. So... if Space took place a few weeks after that, presumably partway through the 2nd half of season 1 we'll get up to 2010. Maybe...unless the blog specifically stated otherwise... —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 07:05, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
"YOUNG: Yeah, it's a hint. If you're wondering what to get me for Christmas, I need socks." we can assume there is still December, right? Christmas is in December and it not yet happen. --Глючарина (talk) (Contribs) 07:32, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Also more proof that SGU's in 2009, is Faith. "About fifteen weeks", and SGU première took place days after EatG —Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 11:20, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
With Episode 15 of SGU S1, we're ~six months in 2009. -Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 00:25, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
I'd rather go with what we've been doing all along, in that episodes are more or less in-tandem with real-time. The blog post you linked is over a year old, from back when they were still writing and figuring out what was happening in the series, a lot has changed; episode names and orders, characters, etc. On top of that he states "maybe days". I'd rather go with in-episode evidence, as Anubis said, Justice took place presumably close to Christmas, and as I wrote on the other talk page, SG-1 and SGA happened in real-time (assumed). Personally, I'm going to avoid adding/changing dates until we have concrete evidence of the timeline. But in instances where dates must be written, I'd prefer if it was more or less close to the current time. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 15:11, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
Concrete evidence for the timeline? imadaman writes: “No hints about when the premiere took place? Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years after EatG?” Answer: It would have to have taken place not too long after the events of EatG (days, maybe weeks perhaps) since the events of the Atlantis movie, Stargate: Extinction, follow very son after EatG as well (and helps explain why Dr. McKay wasn’t drafted to body switch during the show’s first season). Well I'm sold. Still, this whole thing still has me rethinking the way we log time. It's not like Star Trek where everything has a very specific "Stardate". Unfortunately, I think by year is the best/only way we can measure time. Personally, I'm still going to try to find creative ways around writing the year, but I'm with you on the SGU timeline now. At least we have the kid to act as a nice timeline, no? —Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 15:10, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Found this... http://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/june-30-2010-chotto-stressed/ Read the mailbag. —Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 23:47, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
