When the Russians started their own Stargate Program, they bought a three-man Mini-Sub from Switzerland, for use as a reconnaissance vehicle on the Water planet. Switzerland is often seen, and spoken of, as the embodiment of neutrality in a conflict. (SG1: "Watergate")
