"This device will power the Chappa'ai."
Teal'c[src]

The Stargate dialer is a small device capable of using a Stargate to establish a wormhole without the need for a Dial Home Device.

History

Ba'al was shown to possess one such device that attached to the Stargate itself. Once attached the user simply input the desired address, like a miniature DHD. It is unknown if Ba'al's device can be used to dial another galaxy, but the device at least contains enough power to dial an intragalactic address with a gate that has no other power source. It was used by Ba'al to dial an unknown address in 1939 after changing time on Earth, and then by the alternate Teal'c to dial Praxyon in 2009. (SG1: "Continuum")
