Stargate Atlantis: Gateways # 2 is the second issue in the Stargate Atlantis Gateways portion of the Stargate Atlantis comic series by American Mythology Productions.

Chronological Placement

The events depicted in this adventure take place after Stargate Atlantis: Back to Pegasus portion of the Stargate Atlantis comic series, which took place after season five of Stargate Atlantis.

Story

As Ronon and Dr. Jackson attempt to hold back the aliens, Sheppard fires some drones into the Stargate destroying it. The blast causes the ground to shake and part of it cracks. Dr. McKay informs the team that the launching of the drones has caused some of the lower section of the city to collapse, resulting in the launch tubes being blocked.

Daedalus: The Daedalus begins to evacuate the members of the Travelers civilization. The aliens launch their fighters. Larrin takes the place of F-302 pilot Lt. Krofcheck without Col. Caldwell's knowledge and the Daedalus launches their F-302s to intercept.

Lord Protectors' Planet: The aliens continue to advance as Sheppard has an idea of how to stop them. The ground begins to shake and an energy field breaks through the ground. It rises up and surrounds the Tower. The cities shield had been activated.

Atlantis: There is an unscheduled off-world activation of the Stargate, and the aliens invade. They free Janus from his cell and take him, Guide and Shen Xiaoyi with them. By the time the Daedalus and the Traveler fleet arrive, Atlantis isn't responding to their hails. Sheppard's team go down to the gate room to see what's wrong.
