Authors Summary[]
Sonny Whitelaw[]
Set near the end of Season 3, the Atlantis team return from the Pegasus Galaxy to investigate a Wraith sighting on Earth. Teaming up with members of SG-1, they soon discover that the Wraith aren't the only monsters stalking human prey.
This is not a crossover with SG-1, however it is set at the end of Season 10 SG-1. We've brought on board Daniel Jackson because we've returned to Stargate's mythological roots. Myths and legends form the backbone of the Stargate franchise, so this seemed like a fitting farewell to ten years of SG-1 while still remaining very much an Atlantis story.
Elizabeth Christensen[]
A series of horrific ritualized killings sends the Atlantis expedition on a mission to a rarely investigated planet: Earth. When Stargate Command discovers that the cult-like group committing the murders has its roots in a genetic anomaly related to the Wraith retrovirus, the search for answers spans two galaxies. While his team explores a Pegasus planet where Ancient research resulted in other fantastical evolutions, Colonel Sheppard joins forces with SG-1's Daniel Jackson and an FBI profiler who keeps everyone guessing—all to halt an impending disaster that threatens to alter the very humanity of the residents of Earth.
Chronological Placement[]
The events depicted in this novel take place during season three of Stargate Atlantis, after the events of Vengeance and before First Strike. It also takes place near the end of Season 10 of Stargate SG-1, before the movie Stargate: Ark of Truth.

An extract from chapter 19:
John cinched up the chinstrap on his helmet before stepping out of the Humvee. The faint rays of sunlight on the horizon were no longer strong enough to punch through the haze that still hovered over the street. He inhaled slowly, recognizing the pervasive, acrid smell of cordite and dried blood. The Museum building itself hadn't been damaged in the ambush, but the front steps were a mess of crumbled concrete and shell casings.
It had taken a maddeningly long time to get here. The Army had had its hands full, trying to secure five different sites throughout Baghdad where explosions had occurred almost simultaneously. As critical as John and Rebecca's mission was, it didn't trump ongoing urban warfare. They’d been stuck on base at Balad, the outlook for Jackson getting bleaker by the minute, until word finally had come down that the Museum area was under control — at least for the moment.
Climbing down from the Humvee, Rebecca adjusted her Kevlar vest and studied the other vehicles on the street, many of them scarred, inoperable hunks of twisted metal. “Good God,” she said quietly. “If Dr. Jackson was in one of those —”

Notes of Interest[]
- The book goes with the assumption that Ronon has an immunity to Wraith feeding which has proven to be inaccurate with the episode Broken Ties.
- A theory postuled by Daniel in the novel suggests that the Ancient plague which devastated the race in the Milky Way was created by the Ascended Ori. As a result of the plague, the Ancient's either died, ascended or moved to the Pegasus galaxy.
- The trip back to Earth through Midway Station required Puddle Jumpers as the station is only completed at the time of the events of the preemptive Asuras strike in First Strike.
- One of the three Puddle Jumpers at the SGC was described as found by SG-1 a few year back. This was the Jumper with the time machine used in Moebius, presumably recovered together with Ra's ZPM in this new, current timeline where SG-1 was going to but didn't travel to Ancient Egypt.
