SG-1[]
- While being questioned by Major Robert Thornbird in 1969, Colonel Jack O'Neill identifies himself with the alias "Luke Skywalker", one of the main characters of the series, which had not yet been released. Later, O'Neill tells Michael Clark that SG-1 are aliens who came to hide on Earth "a long time ago", while Dr. Daniel Jackson says they're from "a galaxy far, far away". (SG1: "1969")
- Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c bring pizza and the released copies of Star Wars over to Major Samantha Carter's house. Teal'c has seen them nine times, but O'Neill himself claims to have never seen them before. (SG1: "Ascension")
- Before the Prometheus takes a short trip across the surface of Tagrea, Colonel William Ronson says, "We'd best hope that old man was right, or this is gonna be a short ride." The line is a direct reference to the escape of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia from the Death Star in A New Hope. (SG1: "Memento")
- The design of the power core of Anubis' mothership and its destruction is a direct mirror of the design and destruction of the Second Death Star's core in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The view from the F-302 fighter-interceptor after leaving hyperspace and skimming along the side of the mothership is also similar to the trench run in Episode IV: A New Hope. Coincidentally, the Millennium Falcon uses a hyperspace jump to bypass the shields of Starkiller Base in Episode VII: The Force Awakens. During the Assault on Anubis' mothership, Colonel Jack O'Neill in the F-302 when Major General George S. Hammond calls him by his codename Jack says I thought we were going with Red Leader on this one. This is a direct quote from Star Wars as a Codename for one of the X-Wing Fighters. Also as Jack was taking off he says we are missing something and Hammond says Good Luck and God's Speed this is a quote from Princess Leia as she was wishing good luck to the Battle Contingent about to fight. (SG1: "Fallen")
- Colonel Jack O'Neill is frozen in an Ancient stasis pod which is similar to the end of Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back where Han Solo was frozen in Carbonite. (SG1: "Lost City, Part 2")
- Dr. Daniel Jackson tells Tenat and Jup that he is "Hans Olo", a reference to Han Solo, another of the main characters. (SG1: "Prometheus Unbound")
- One of Joe Spencer's friends, Gordie Lowe, says that the Furlings sound like Ewoks, a species in one of the films. (SG1: "Citizen Joe")
- The telekinteic powers used by Adria and Khalek strongly resemble the Force, the magical power in the Star Wars series. (SG-1: Prototype)
- Vala Mal Doran asks if any of SG-1 have heard of a situation where a women becomes pregnant without copulation, and Teal'c immediately brings up Darth Vader, the main antagonist of the series, who was supposedly conceived by the mystical power of the Force. (SG1: "Crusade")
Atlantis[]
- When Jinto and Wex ask Major John Sheppard if they can go to Earth, Sheppard tells them he's from "a galaxy far, far away". (SGA: "Rising")
- Sheppard calls Ronon Dex "Chewie" several times, after the Star Wars fictional character Chewbacca. (SGA: "Condemned", "Lifeline", "The Daedalus Variations", "Identity", "Enemy at the Gate")
- In addition, in "The Daedalus Variations", Sheppard said to Ronon "Easy, Chewie, those buttons are your friends", referencing how Chewbacca strikes piloting consoles in Star Wars.
- While piloting a Wraith Dart that goes on autopilot, Sheppard calls the Dart "R2", as in R2-D2, a robot in the series, to shut off the autopilot. Nothing happens. (SGA: "The Lost Boys")
- To avoid detection by the Hive ships, Sheppard latched on his F-302 fighter-interceptor to one of those ships. He later told Ronon Dex that he had that idea when he saw it in a movie once, referring to Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, when the Millennium Falcon latched onto a Star Destroyer to avoid detection. (SGA: "No Man's Land")
- Sheppard and Dr. Radek Zelenka go on board a Traveler ship and into its hyperdrive, where the technician in charge states "It may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts. I've added some special modifications myself.", which precisely mirrors Han Solo's dialogue when Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi and the droids are first introduced to the Millennium Falcon in Episode IV: A New Hope. (SGA: "The Lost Tribe")
- Todd lands the front half of the Hive ship on the ocean, resembling a scene in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith where Anakin Skywalker lands the front half of the crippled Separatist flagship Invisible Hand on Coruscant. (SGA: "Infection")
Universe[]
- Eli Wallace after entering a star system with an ice planet refers to it as the Hoth system, after the similar ice planet in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. (SGU: "Water")
- Eli also mentioned the original trilogy in a discussion with Dr. Nicholas Rush regarding "Top 5 desert island movies", and noted that if the entire original trilogy did not count as one; then he would want The Empire Strikes Back. (SGU: "Time")
- When Eli says that they would be recharging from a star Destiny would never recharge itself, Master Sgt. Ronald Greer replies by saying "Death Star". (SGU: "Blockade")
