Space (TV channel)

SPACE (sometimes referred to as the Space Channel) is a Canadian television channel that features science fiction, fantasy and horror programming including films, documentaries, scripted television series and more. It is owned and operated by CTVGlobemedia.

SPACE airs many first-run shows, such as Doctor Who, Defying Gravity, Smallville, Supernatural and Fringe. It also airs many Syfy original series such as the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, Eureka and Sanctuary (starring Amanda Tapping).

InnerSPACE[]

The station also airs the half hour show, InnerSPACE, at 11pm ET from Tuesday to Friday, in which the two hosts hold a live forum on the show just aired, as well as discuss Sci-fi related news.

A special one hour episode aired after the Stargate Universe premiere, featuring a lengthy interview with guest Louis Ferreira, as well as on-set interviews with most of the main cast and show creators, Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper.

Following the season 1 finale, a live, one-hour episode aired with guests: David Blue and director of the finale episode, Andy Mikita. The episode also featured several behind-the-scenes set tours with Alaina Huffman and Louis Ferreira, as well as cast and crew interviews. Huffman and Ming-Na were also on SPACE's official website, chatting with fans.

Stargate series[]

Stargate SG-1 began airing on SPACE at a slight delay from its original air-dates on the Syfy network and the show is now aired daily in syndication. The episodes air in order from the series premiere to the series finale and begin again.

Stargate: Atlantis aired a full season behind its original air-date on Syfy, with season 4 finale airing in Canada around the same time as the series finale aired in the United States. Reruns of previous seasons air daily.

Stargate Universe Season 1 aired in tandem with the Syfy channel, which began with the two hour premiere, "Air, Part 1" and "Air, Part 2", on October 2nd, 2009 at 10pm ET. Syfy moved Season 2 to Tuesdays, beginning on September 28, 2010, while SPACE continued to air the show on Fridays, beginning on October 1, 2010.
