The sonic rifle is an Ohnes weapon which was wielded by Ohnes warriors, using a similar technology to their sonic pistols. The rifle fired pulses of coherent sound which had a spread much like a Tau'ri shotgun, capable of hitting several targets at once. Because of the sonic nature of the weapon, however, the damage it dealt was reduced by range, although this range was doubled when the weapon was used underwater.
