The sonic pistol is the most common Ohnes weapon and was worn as a sidearm by Ohnes warriors. The pistol fired pulses of coherent sound which had a spread much like a Tau'ri shotgun, capable of hitting several targets at once. Because of the sonic nature of the weapon, however, the damage it dealt was reduced by range, although this range was doubled when the weapon was used underwater.
