The creature on the Mostari homeworld, (referred to as a "Six-legged water buffalo thing", by R.J. Harrison), is a creature used by the Mostari.

They're seen being used to pull carts and plows.

Physiology

The creature is purple in color. It has six legs, large horns on its head, a tail, and spikes down its spine.

History

In the past, Harley Shepherd had introduced plowing to the Mostari. By the time Major Gus Bonner's team visited the planet, the creatures could be seen aiding the farmers with this task by pulling their plows.

A Motari, with one of the creature's pulling a cart, got ambushed by rebels. Bonner's team stepped in to defend them. (INF: "Mentor")
