He was granted security clearance after Dr. Elizabeth Weir left for the Pegasus galaxy and was allowed to see a goodbye recording Weir left for him. (SGA: "Rising")
Simon also appears in Weir's alternate reality, created by an alien mist. (SGA: "Home")
2005[]
In a recorded message sent from Atlantis, Dr. Weir told Simon to "move on", fearing that she might never return to Earth. (SGA: "Letters from Pegasus")
When she briefly returned, however, hoping to convince Simon to join the Atlantis expedition, she found that he had followed her advice and found someone else. (SGA: "The Intruder")
