Simarka, designated P3X-593 by the Tau'ri, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy which held a Stargate. It was the homeworld of four Simarkan tribes, including the Shavadai. (SG1: "Emancipation")
Following the death of his father, Abu returned the society to its previous customs including the treatment of its women like property much to Samantha Carter's disappointment. (SG1: "Do No Harm")
Overview[]
A variety of terrains encompass the land masses of Simarka, which consists of a single inhabited region 10,000 miles from the local Stargate. The region possesses vast deserts stretching 175 miles to the north and west (and a larger one in the southeast corner of the region which is also dotted in mountain ranges), grasslands on its northwestern corner and forested foothills of mountain ranges in the southwest (with lighter forest on the north and west, and heavier forests in the east and south). Cursing through the forest biomes is the Simark River. All these different biomes are inhabited by the four main tribes of Simarkans, the Shavadai, the Toughai, the Linghai and the Dalghai. (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")
