The Senate Intelligence Oversight Committee is a political organization based in the United States of America. It is the organization responsible for monitoring several intelligence agencies including the Central Intelligence Agency and National Intelligence Department.
In 2003, Senator Robert Kinsey was moving from the Senate Appropriations Committee to this committee. He tried to use his influence to have the Stargate put under the control of the NID, which would have given him direct control over its use. (SG1: "Disclosure")
