This Guard was a Tau'ri male who served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Creek Mountain in Colorado.

He was stationed to guard the lab where Dr. Daniel Jackson was translating the cartouche. Jackson came out for coffee and noticed one of the symbols on the newspaper being read by the guard matched one on the cartouche. He grabs the whole sheet and rushes inside the room. (Stargate)
