Wraith-Goa'uld hybrid
So, any of you think its possible to put a Goa'uld in a wraith and do you think the creators will ever do it if it is? hmmm.... I think they probably will, would be pretty cool....

Naming conventions
To be honest, I've never really been comfortable with the whole "full name" idea. Maybe Jonathan J. O'Neill is accurate, but for me, Jack O'Neill is enough. That's how he introduces himself, that's what his friends call him, that's his name. And on Meredith Rodney McKay, he calls himself Rodney McKay. Also, he may be an ass, but even fictional people deserve to have their dignity. Another thing I've haven't been comfortable with is the separation of "Ancient" and "Lantean" into separate articles. There doesn't seem to be much of a societal difference. It's okay that we consider Ancient separate from Alteran because the Alterans also include the Ori, which are a separate society and culture. The RPG names I'm a little more sympathetic on, as they were considered canon at one point and time, and the creators haven't declared them non-canon. I dream of Stargate...! seriously
Wow, I had probably the most strangest Stargate dream EVER! The first one was a US Air Force Recruiting commercial involving the SGC, and it showed Gen. Hammond, the original SG1 team, and various other SGC facility staff mentioning how great their job is and why you should join the Air Force. It had a website to see if you have what it takes to be in the SGC portion of it, like a little personality test of sorts. One scene I saw was with Gen. Hammond giving why he likes working, and behind him was a slideshow of some offworld planet, and it had the year of 2000 on it, can't remember the actual date though. My second dream involved the original SG1 crew on a planet when Daniel got beamed up by what I thought was the Asgard well it wasn't because the scene switched over to where Daniel was met by Jesus, yes Jesus, and he was a Goauld as well. I will write more about this dream when I have more time because it is late here. I wrote this so I can see what ppl think about it.

Lost City / and new ship
Do you think the Lost City two-parter might be re-cut and more CG added (Namely the antarctica battle) into more of a stand-alone movie? - Like the Children of the Gods DVD soon to be released.

Size of a Hive
We know Hives are huge, much larger than a 304: The size of the Daedalus is "Length: 225 meters Width: 95 meters" according to the Daedalus article. The image 'Hive304.jpg' on the Hive Ship article shows the size of a Hive Ship in relation to the Daedalus. From that image it can be deduced the size of a Hive Ship is approximately 2,600m x 1,200. The Hive Ship article doesn't quote the ship size, but the Wraith Cruiser does have a size quoted which is very close to that deduced size of a Hive. I was always under the impression Cruisers were much smaller than Hives - closer to that of a 304. Is this image misleading? Perhaps there is another source for ship sizes?
Yes, they are much smaller than the Hives, about the size of a 304. The "size" of the cruiser comes from those retarded dvd collection magazines that Jaymach loves so much. The magazine also said that cruisers can carry 20 Hives and are equipped with energy shields. Neither of them are true, so I don't know why such information is included here. 20 yr old MSgt.
Can someone please stop SGU from looking stupid by having a 20yr old as a MSgt? A Master Sergeant would most likely be in his forties. A 30yr old would be ridiculous, but at least not as plain stupid as having a 20yr old with that rank. Does the show not have any military experts or advisors? I am all about suspension of disbelief. I can imagine a world with Ancients and Stargates, but a world with a 20yr old MSgt. is too inconsitent with itself to be taken seriously from a military standpoint - amjor part of the show. Please stop the insanity.

- Sean Mahaffey, you are correct in your statement. Master Sergeant Ronald Greer, in actuality would be much older than he appears. I know of many Master Sergeants who retire at that rank or First Sergeants, which is also an E-8. That is 20 or more years in the service. It has baffeled me how such a young Marine would be so high in the enlisted ranks. If he were meritoriously promoted each time he was able to be promoted, he still would not have enough time in the service to be that rank. A more realistic rank for him would be that of a Sergeant or Staff Sergeant. As a Staff Sergeant he would still perform all of the duties he currently does.
- To Matthew R Dunn, Sean's assessment is within reason. One doesn't have to be a military expert to realize that a 20 year old Master Sergeant is preposterous. It would be like having a 21 year old Colonel. I have heard of Hollywood not depicting the military exactly the way it is out of not wanting to impersonate military personnel. Impersonating military personnel is a crime. Having served in the military, the little details are important to me when watching a fictional reality. Portraying real branches of our military accurately shows that the producers care about the show and their fans. Anybody here good at maths?
Just for fun i thought i'd try and work out the binary system used for extrapolation... Obviously its made up however, somebody once told me you can make numbers work with anything.
Basically i'm just trying to work out an outline as to why P3X-989 is called that, weather it corrisponds to gate glyphs, is it just a number assigned after calculations...??
just wondered if anybody had thought about this before?

SG Universe
With a new series opened upon the whole Universe I hope at long last we learn more about the Nox and Furlings.
Since little about them was learned from SG-1 episodes, Universe could reveal they went out into other areas of intergalactic space or originated from elsewhere (After all the Asgard were hanging out in the Ida galaxy, the Ancients in Pegasus, and the Ori who knows where; so just how did the alliance with Nox, Furlings, and Ancients occur in the Milkyway?) or continued their alliance after the Alterans ascended. It would be cool and ironic if a faction of the Asuran replaced the Alterans.
A interesting possibility would be splinter groups of the Nox and Furlings waring with each other or unascended Ancients across other galaxies.
So many possibilities await in the Universe.

Did I miss something?
So, I watched all 10 seasons of SG-1. I did not watch any of Atlantis, however, I watch episodes on TV every once in a while. I now watch SGU, and I'm missing something. Where was the ninth Chevron, the Icarus project and the Hammond in SG-1? Or were they in SG-1 at all? I know exactly what's going on in SGU but I had a feeling I was missing something because of the HUGE part of the story I'm missing. Do the goa'uld use stairs??
Ok, gang, I know it's never been addressed on the show, but how do the goa'uld move from one level to another on a mother ship? Seen them use the rings to get OFF the ship, but...do the goa'uld use stairs...and escalator...stand in uncomfortable silence in an elevator? What's the deal?
- They use rings to get from other places inside the ship too. Can't really cite a specific episode, but it is possible as Jonas did it in Descent. Would it be appropriate to upload the image from the original "Children of the Gods," if it is properly tagged and whatnot, in order to better illustrate the controversy? does any one else think that the Odyssey secret mission could be to catch up with Destiny?
cause the Odyssey isn't present in the battle against the supper hive cause its on a secret mission and in the STU 1.5 trailer you see a bc304 over a planet?

- "Air" takes place after "Enemy at the Gate"... likely. The 304 in the SGU 1.5 trailer was probably the Hammond... it looked similar to the scene in "Air"... although the planet looked like it had yellow spots on it. ori warship/supergate width

- I know... we've discussed this before... it's just like the issue with the size of a wraith cruiser compared to a 304... it's from those DVD magazines that we apparently hold so dear. In this case, I would say that what's shown on the show supersedes the Magazine (as an ori ship is clearly smaller than the gate)... in which case both measurements would need to be thrown out. Although I'm sure Jaymach has his reasons... maybe. - this is ridiculous and almost amounts to vandalism from the magazine. why do we need to take the measurements from this "canon" source when it amazingly directly contradicts higher-level canon. i appreciate what the magazine collection writers' intentions but this is obviously a glaring mistake. it's like renaming "goa'uld" to "goo'uld" because of a typo made in a novel. Idea for Atlantis movie space battle
You have on one side Atlantis with three ZPMs and carrying 6 extra squadrons of F-302s, 6 304s (Daedalus, Apollo, Sun Tzu, George Hammond) and two new ones, the HMS Spartan and the USS Javelin and ten Traveler generational ships.
Against-
25 Hives and 75 cruisers ( 3 for each hive because what happened to the Hive Ships having three cuisers for escort, we haven't seen that since the Siege part 3)
I think that would be an epic battle

Citing an episode, possible to show episode number
I'll explain it better here. While on the Star Trek wiki (http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/) if you are reading about a species or whatever and the article sites a specific episode, if you hover over the name of the episode in an alt text or popup it says: Episode name (TOS 2x05) which is very handy.
Here's an example: http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Deep_Space_Station_K-7
Look for: "The Trouble with Tribbles" in the first paragraph and hover your cursor over it, it will show up with: "The Trouble with Tribbles (TOS 2x13)" which indicates what series, season and episode. I assume this pulls from the database as when you go to edit the page it was not put in manually.

Ion Drive
I forgot the name of the episode, but in that episode, Carter manages to get a Ion Drive from Hebbridians/Serakkins. What the hell did they do with it?

- They acquired the Ion Drive, which seemed to be both the FTL system for the hebridan, as well as their sublight engine, but there is no evidence that the SGC/Area 51/Earth Sceientists succesfully reverse engineered the engine. However, we dont know what style of sublight engine the Tau'ri do in fact use, they could be Earth style ion drives(we do actually possess them), or far superior ion drives from the Hebridan/Serrakin, or traditional chemical propellant... we dont really find out.74.129.66.59 19:38, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

When I was watching this episode I noticed O'neil calling Teal'c his Goa'uld "Junior" but Teal'c gave "Junior" to his son during "Bloodlines" in season one?

Thought on SG1 weaponry
While the P90 is the standard weaponry for the SG program, was there ever consideration for integrating the Zat guns into them? While the Zat guns are ineffective against certain Gao'uld and Ori body armour, it is superior against unarmoured/underarmoured enemies where you only need to subdue or delay the enemy rather than kill them, as well as completely disentigrate a body and small object. Combining that with the armour-piercing capabilities of the P90 would make a near-perfect weapon for SG teams participating in hostile off-world activities. - I hate to break it to you but the Goa'uld are thousands of years more advanced then we are, Earths only energy weapons are lasers, like those we acually possess and the [X-699] which doesnt appear to be ready for use in actual combat, its big and bulky, and hasnt proved to be anything aside from a 1st generation prototype. Zats are way more advanced.
