SG-9 was originally led by Captain Jonas Hanson. Lieutenant Baker and Doctor Frakes were all killed in action. (SG1: "The First Commandment")
Lieutenant Laurence Conner survived the mission and went on to lead SG-11. Later led by attorney Major Stan Kovachek.
Still later SG-9 is lead by Major Benton and was overdue with their reports while going on a mission to planet P2A-018. They were there to re-establish diplomatic relations with that planet's inhabitants. Other known members are Sergeant Carl Grogan, Tarkman and Winters, but Grogan was the only survivor, after a Jaffa attack. (SG1: "The Sentinel")
